Why not do some intelligent copying as well? If you are copying to multiple locations. Why no copy the files that are already on the hard drive to another hard drive. I would like that the card reader is often a bottleneck.
Sir/Madam
That function is already there. Simply pull out the card from the reader, or don't put the card in at all, and Flashpipe tells you to select the source of your copying.
After the first time, Flashpipe remembers the setting and can be changed at will.
I copy the C:\Pics\etc\ file to three other locations for backups as well as other operatiing systems, with one click of GO.
2) On the auto folder naming of date, can you put time in there as well?
That is already in there too.
Click Settings and then click Automatically insert date in Operation table subfolder.
)If this is an auto copy program, why do you have to hit copy if you set all this in advance. Why cant one just insert card and have it copy automatically? I realize you may not want to have that function on all the time.
To have Flashpipe run that way seems obviously wrong. You need to set the new folder with a name that reflects the event. You also have many optional choices of how people do their work.
I like to Copy or move my images from my card to the selected and named folder for the event and the same for my other drives. The I work on my images on my C: drive which creates sidecar (qrs or xmp) type files.
At this point I want to send the sidecar files to the other locations using the OTHER selection under filetype.
There are so many possibilities and options to please anyone and everyone and to make the program run automatically without the chance to set it, all to save one click of "GO".
Not a good trade off for me.
I have attached a screen snap of my typical (simple easy) setup copying from a HD to HD
Thanks for writing
