Is there a way to filter the source files (e.g. by date) and then put them in specific output files?  I may be in the field for several days away from my computer and then want to download files by date when I get back to my computer.

I'm not sure I understand the question.  Do you want to be able to create a different folder for each day?

I would like to select all the files on the memory card taken on say the 10th and put them in a folder labeled the 10th; take the files taken on the 9th and put them in a folder labeled the 9th and so on.

Flashpipe does this automatically, and I believe is the default setting.

I think he means making a new folders based on the image date rather than a single folder with "today's" date. So, from one card download, you could have multiple folders made.

Right.  That's actually pretty easy to add but it does bring about some logistics questions like:

(1) If you have more than one camera and one in particular that isn't used as often, you may not download photos right away.  When you download the photos from this camera, it'll create a folder that is days, weeks, months in the past and there may be a dozen newer folders that already exist.  This might make it difficult to find exactly where the files were just downloaded.

(2) Worse, the card might have photos from the last month on it, all from various days.  Eight new folders might get created, for example, and it might not be obvious which ones are new.

(3) Because of the above, it might make sense to have the auto-date subfolder so that a folder with today's date is created first (the download date) and then image folders by date (photo date) appear within that folder.
