Post by: admin on September 08, 2009, 10:21:16 PM
v2010.101     09/08/09

Priority: Low

v2010.101 adds the ability to rename files based on custom criteria.  This version also fixes an "access denied" error message that appeared on some systems.

Mike,

Wow! Thanks for the quick update that adds custom renaming! After being a Qimage user for years, I am still amazed with your response to requests for enhancements and bug fixes!

One small request - the custom rename has a ?Y option that adds a 4 digit year. Could you also add an option for a 2 digit year?

v2010.101 Vista 32 SP2.  The setting for the folder I entered for the raw files reverts to "Developed" after closing and re-opening FlashPipe.  Also, an empty "developed" folder is appearing next to my date folder specified for the downloads, is this normal?

To reproduce: Make sure that "Place raw photos in a separate folder" in the settings window is checked, enter a folder name, then click the OK button at the bottom of the window.  The setting window closes.  Now close FlashPipe and re-open it.  Choose edit/settings and the setting for the raw folder has reverted to the default "Developed".

One more thing.  Should there be a help file?  When I choose Help/Contents, I get nothing.

Mike

How about having '#' in the rename menu to represent just a number - A### would rename the files  A001, A002, etc?

v2010.101 Vista 32 SP2 trial.  It seems that most of the setting options are ignored for me.  I have unchecked "Develop raw photos after they are copied/moved" but FlashPipe still develops my raw files.

Also, when I first open FlashPipe, after the trial message, a message box appears asking if I want to go to the FlashPipe web site now.  If I click either the "Yes" or "No" buttons FlashPipe will open.  It never goes to the web site.

Two questions: when installing this software I know it wants to be set to run at start-up. Since I like to minimize the number of programs that do that, I'm wondering if it is required to start at start-up, or if I can delete it from start-up once installed w/o any problems.

Also--you asked me if I changed the default directory when installing. I didn't--I don't think I even got a dialog asking about it, but my memory isn't infallible--but my pictures are not in the default Vista location. Is that an issue?

Thanks.
