v2010.114     12/29/09

Priority: Low

v2010.114 includes minor Windows 7 x64 optimizations plus some UI improvements related to user data entry and better default selections for new users.

FlashPipe v2010.114 doesn't start on my computer - neither on windows start nor manually (there is a FlashPipe enty in Windows Task Manager, but no program window).

I use Windows XP Prof. SP3 with non-admin rights. Starting FlashPipe as admin works as it should.

FlashPipe v2010.113 works like a charm under a non-admin account.

Works fine on a non-admin account here.  I don't think it has anything to do with admin/non-admin as FP doesn't need admin access for anything.  In addition, the code in 113 is identical to 114 until you click on something on the FP window, so I don't believe 114 is the problem.  Both 113 and 114 are identical on startup and you don't access the new code in 114 until you click something with the mouse.  The saved settings (in the registry) will be different for the admin and non-admin user, so I think therein lies the key.  Take a look at the settings, most importantly the rows in the operations table, under both users: the admin and non-admin.  Are they different?  There must be a clue there somewhere because I believe it is the difference in settings between the two Windows users that is causing (or eliciting) the problem.

Solution found (thanks to Sysinternals Process Monitor): I didn't have write-access to "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\ddisoftware\flashpipe\". Changing the security settings for non-admin users solved the problem.

FlashPipe 113 had no problems though.
