Been trying to get the latest version for about 6 hours today. Made 4 attempts and never received anything back with the password or link.
Is something down on your end?
Tom,
I think there was some outgoing mail server problems yesterday.
See if it comes this morning!
Fred
It actually wasn't an outgoing mail server problem, but there was a configuration problem somewhere on the web (admins are looking into it) where our mail server's reverse DNS keeps getting deleted from the Internic database. ISP's like Comcast (Tom is on Comcast), AOL, and ATT blindly block any emails coming from a server that doesn't have a reverse DNS entry. So long story short, Comcast is blocking your email. Best thing would be to complain to Comcast and tell them you don't want them making decisions about what emails you get and do not get. Spam filtering and spam decisions should be made by the customer. Otherwise this is what happens: some oddball configuration issue that has nothing to do with spam occurs and you stop getting emails from legit addresses. Comcast is the worst about this. They even block IP's if they see "too many" emails coming from one server to Comcast users. For example, if we have a bunch of people on this forum with Comcast addresses subscribed to the Qimage update thread so they can get automatic emails when a new release is posted, the mail server here spits out hundreds of emails as soon as I post to that thread telling you that the thread has been updated. if Comcast determines that too many of their users are getting emails (in quick succession) from the web server serving this forum, they'll arbitrarily blacklist our mail server and you'll stop getting email from us. This sort of thing is exactly why I wrote this article:
