Mike
I was loading a card and managed to fill my hard disc and got an alert box with an I/O error instead of the usual 'Disc Full' one.

Mike will have to deal with that, but:
(OT) Brian brings up an issue worthy of a warning.
Hard drives should never be filled past 90% of their capacity. Preferably 85%. They are prone to I/O and other problems and can (depending on other factors) became inaccessable without special software.
