Title: Windows 7 Problem Post by: jacrews7 on December 20, 2009, 10:41:53 PM On my old machine running Windows XP, no problems with Flashpipe, ran fine. Now, on a Windows 7 e-machines, I get a dialog "Nothing to do!" message with a CompactFlash card, and "Error: some files did not transfer, Photo Transfers: 0/0" with a Memory Stick Pro card. The card readers work with Windows Explorer, and Flashpipe recognizes the drives. Probably so simple and obvious, it went right by me. Thanks very much for any help!

When Flashpipe says it has nothing to do, it has nothing to do. If the card is plugged into the freader. and Flashpipe sees the card and folder as the source, that's half done. Now we need a destination. ....AND we need a command turned on in the row of that destination. So there are three parts; source, destination, and activarion. The activation would be in the form of COPY or MOVE for memory cards. See screen snap!! First, when you insert a card, does FlashPipe open and show you the files (photos, videos, etc.) in the top panel? One thing that might help is if you can post a screen shot of the FlashPipe window just before you click the "Go" button. One thing that can cause a "nothing to do" for example would be if you only have one line in the "operations" panel that says "copy videos"... and there are no videos on the card: only photos. So I'm thinking something along those lines.
Also, if you are wondering if FlashPipe can "see" your drives, there's a diagnostic for that. Just click "Help", "Flash Drive Diagnostics" and FlashPipe will tell you what it sees as far as the available flash drives on your system. It's possible that you need an updated driver for one of them. Remember that FlashPipe must do things with these drives that Explorer doesn't do: like monitor the drives for media insertion/ejection while at the same time making sure that the data on the drive contains photos/videos, etc. Oh, also make sure you are running the latest version!
