Title: removing threads
Post by: rayw on December 16, 2010, 10:53:54 PM
There was a recent thread in one of the qimage forums, (started by VDR, iirc). This was concerning soft-proofing. There were a few replies, explaining the use of soft proofing, etc. It was apparent that folk were expecting something different to be shown, instead of what was referred to as 'washed out images'. Now, this discussion can not be continued, since for some reason the thread has been removed. I would suggest that the facility to delete a thread is removed, and only a moderator or list owner being given that privilege. As it is, the information that was presented there is now lost to future visitors.

I believe the op mentioned there was criticism of qi soft proofing on some other forum (dpreview??). Hopefully he will report back to that forum that softproofing in qi works as it should, the problem lies in the user's lack of understanding.
