Title: Some thumbnails display as "white noise"
Post by: chris888 on September 26, 2009, 02:25:25 AM
I have just downloaded a trial copy of Qimage and am finding that some images are displaying as white noise. The images when viewed in Lightroom are fine. I am running the product on the Vista 64 bit operating system. Most troublesome seem to be .tif files although I have also seen the same with .psd. Any suggestion??

Chris.
What you are seeing is the low quality of the thumbnails only.
You can improve the quality by clicking VIEW, Thumbnail File Browser, Thumbnail Quality and select highest.
Just for information, this same thumbnail is used to show the preview panel at the upper right of the main screen so that will reflect the quality setting as well.

If you go into the Full Page editor screen, again you can set that for speed (low rez) or HQ High Quality by selecting Thumbnail small images, or ALL images.

If you hover the mouse over a thumbnail and tap the spacebar, you will get a High quality image of that same noisy thumbnail.
