http://ddisoftware.com/tech/general-tech-discussion/focus-stacking/ (http://ddisoftware.com/tech/general-tech-discussion/focus-stacking/) .... I did some more tests using landscape type subjects with close and distant subject matter. See attached shots of the scenes. My conclusion was that focus stacking for this type of subject was probably a waste of time, especially when QU Deep Focus Sharpening is used. The shots were taken with a Canon 15-85 stabilized lens at 19mm FL and f8. You can see higher resolution shots with both the stacked and single shot versions here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24381280505/in/album-72157662706174280/ (https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24381280505/in/album-72157662706174280/) https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24381279485/in/album-72157662706174280/ (https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24381279485/in/album-72157662706174280/) https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24085693780/in/album-72157662706174280/ (https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24085693780/in/album-72157662706174280/) https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24298804061/in/album-72157662706174280/ (https://www.flickr.com/photos/terry-m_flickrphotos/24298804061/in/album-72157662706174280/) Click the arrows top right to see a full screen version. Ignore the multiple "ducks" on the last shot, they started to appear as I was taking the sequence ::) |
