I have a few cracked roof tiles on my house that need replacing but they are now out of production. I have found a place that has some but I'm not sure if they are the right colour. So to avoid removing an actual tile, I have photographed in raw and made a print of them. I used a grey card to get the white balance spot on and used Epson Archival Matt with Epson's profile for printing. All done in Qimage, where else!
I have just taken the print outside to compare the real thing with the print and the match is excellent. Of course, in bright sunlight, the print looks a little light but it'll enable me to colour match quite easily.
I wondered if anyone else ever checks their prints with the original subject?

On the realistic side, I trust you used the camera profile for your Raw images from Qimage?
That would ensure getting really spot on colours...  I am spelling like you lately. ;-)

You should do a daily series (with the same white or grey card), then you'd know also if you are getting tanned!

I am always tanned. I live in SW Florida with a lot of other Q-tips.
In case others from different areas have never heard the expression; a Q-tip in Florida denotes an old person driving his car (usually a large comfortable one), and because of the slouch and shrinkage, you only see the steering wheel and this white head behind it.
Hence, a Q-tip.
Although I am well over 6 ft tall, I think I am joining the splinter group called the tongue depressors. :D:D
