Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Saving Photo with Text caption

Many, many thanks to all for your advice, help and suggestions, and especially to Fred and Mike for his video. I finally was able to save my photo(s) to the folder on my desktop. It was not using the "save to file" option correctly that was messing me up.
By being able to save my photo files to the folder on my desktop I am now able to use my HDR program for additional editing which was my original plan . . . so the other thread I started has now been answered, as well.
Thanks again to all . . .

Hi Jeff, I tried your suggestion. And tried to save the file with the caption to the folder on my desktop. I named the file Jeff's Suggestion. That folder I tried to save it to is labeled, Photos to Edit. And this is what was saved, see the snagged file result, actually multiple files. One of the files is actually the icon from my Avery DesignPro 5 Deluxe Edition software? ? So why do I end up with 5 separate files? When I click on any one of them, all I get is an error message. Help! FredSG

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / External HDR Editor

Just wondering if I can use an HDR photo software program as a Photo Editor (under Utilities) and how would I set it up to run from Qimage, or is this possible at all? If you have done this, how did you make it work? By the numbers please . . . don't leave any instructions out.
Thanks,
FredSG

Mel,
Tried your suggestion and I was able to bring the photo up and WITH the caption . . . that's pretty good, but I want to save the image with the caption to a folder on my desktop, so I can work it or edit it with another photo editing program. When I try to save it, as I've stated before, I lose the caption.
Thanks for your help.

Fred, I'm yelling as loud as I can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the photo all set to print with a floating text caption . . . it prints out just fine . . . . but, I cannot for the life of me save the file "AS IS" with the floating text caption. I am using the JOB option when saving.
What I'd like to see in the saved file is the landscape scene with the 1/2" border at the bottom with the floating text caption . . . but, once saved, the photo only shows the landscape scene, the text is no longer there!
I've sent you an Email about this, too!

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Saving a Q-Image File
|

Hello,
Older Fred, are you there to help me again? Young Fred here.
I really am enjoying Q-Image and use it for all my photo work. Here is my question.
Once I've edited and printed a photo, I want to save it to my picture folder in Windows 10 as a .JPG FILE. I seem to have a problem doing this . . . is there something I'm missing in trying to do this? What steps should I follow. Also, I still haven't figured out the job log option . . . when I save a file, it does not show up in the log by the file name I gave it, only a date appears, again, am I missing a step?
Thanks Old Fred and Mike, and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Floating Text Option on borderless (3 sides) prints

Fred,
I'll forgive you, if you can explain how I can move a file with notation from Q-image to my Email folder so I can send the completed file to another Email address.
Mike, followed your instructions and all is good here. I printed out the Q-image manual and can't find my Email issue answered. I have a photo which has the notation at the bottom, but how can I move it to another folder and not lose the notation (which seems to be happening).

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Floating Text Option on borderless (3 sides) prints

Hi Fred,
This is the "other Fred" again, remember, we're related!
I've gone through my printed Q-image manual and have been trying for several hours to accomplish the following.
I need to print multiple (different) photos on 8.5" x 11.0". They need to be borderless on the top, left, and right, but there needs to be a 1/2" or 3/4" border at the bottom so I can print the name of the photo (what it is) using the floating text option.
I am using a Canon TS9520 printer and also a Canon Pro 9500 Mark II printer.
Is there a way to get this done? I would really appreciate your help and expertise.
Thank you,
Fred (Grandphoto)i

Hello, I must be missing something, which isn't unusual I just printed a photo and it came out just fine. Removed it from the screen and replaced it with a different photo . . . but the first photo kept printing over and over again. The second photo is on the screen, but doesn't print, just the first one. I closed out Qimage and tried to print the second photo, but still ended up printing the first one What am I doing wrong or what am I missing . . . Thanks, FredSG
