1  Technical Discussions / Computer Software / Install qimage in both PS and PS beta on: January 10, 2024, 10:40:23 PM
I just installed the latest version of QImage. I have both PS  (latest update) and PS beta. QImage only installed in the beta. How do I  get it to show up in the standard PS. Using PC, OS 10.

I respect the fact that you know more than I do re bit depth. However I have seen issues, ie. banding, when editting anjpg vs z16 bit tiff image. This has convinced me to donall editting as 16 bit files.

But you ARE throwing away important color information by using jpgs which are 8 bit rather than tiffs or RAW or even PSDs which support 16 bit files.  See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqE8FBiDLwE, beginning about 59:58

I watched video “Who needs a template”. It doesn’t go through how to create one, or how the double template shown was created. Is there information on this? Or can you supply info.

Thanks.

Would really like a written manual. Videos are a good supplement, but take too long to watch and tedious to search through to find answer to a specific issue.

To Mike, thanks for your reply. Will follow your suggestion. If I find out what the issue is I’ll post it here. To MelW, nope, no cloud backup.

Hi.  Admittedly this is not a major issue, but I’m not quite sure what the problem is. Previously, I thought the issue was my images are mostly on an external HD, but even with that drive off, program freezes when I click on File>open files. Open folders works fine. Can you enlighten me as to when I should be using this option or help troubleshoot why this is happening?

Thanks

I susect Mike’s explanation is correct. Files are on usb hd. I had clicked on the root of my photos folder

MelW, am I correct in assuming one tells dfs not to sharpen flesh tones via the tone select option?

Doesn’t matter which folder I try
