1  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Can't stop subfolder creation on: January 10, 2021, 04:50:21 PM
Fixed it myself! I found the settings tickbox to stop this happening, but it wasn't where Id' expected to find it. (it's accessed from the dialog, not the main program menu)

It never used to do this, so I suspect I must have reset the settings when upgrading at some point.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Apologies - that was pretty vague.

Yes, I'm use "flash card copy/move".
When I do that, in the 'operations' panel I have instructions to "move" photos to a folder called pictures\2021\January. The optional 'subfolder' box is pre-completed with the day's date.

I can clear the 'subfolder' box  but when I click "go", the photos are nevertheless put in a subfolder with today's date.

I could manually move photos in Explorer, and often do. It's quite convenient to have it built in, but it's not critical.
3  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Can't stop subfolder creation on: January 10, 2021, 10:57:00 AM
When I import photos from a memory stick, I like to store pictures in folders with a simple year\month folder structure (with occasional exceptions).

Qimage insists on creating a subfolder with today's date. I always clear the box with the subfolder name, whose caption says it's optional, but it goes ahead and creates the subfolder anyway.

Is there a way of stopping this? Thanks for any tips.

Windwos 10 & Qimage 2019.119

I know it's not the absolute latest version, but I'm only a very occasional amateur user. This problem has bugged me for months and I've only just got around to doing something about it!

That is fixed now - thank you!

Now a feature request: The IPTC search is quite slow (no problem; I have a fair few photos) but the search box hogs focus in front of all other applications and I can't minimise it, or drag it out of the way.
5  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Error trying to search IPTC info on: March 15, 2019, 03:03:13 PM
If I right click a thumbnail and select "search iptc info" I get a little error message that pops up saying:

"Error reading DirectoryOutline1.RowHeights: invalid property value"

Any ideas how to fix this please?

I don't know if this will achieve what I want. I'm hoping I can do a search that will pull up a few hundred photos spread over many folders of photos, that all contains certain tags that have been added to IPTC as keywords/tags by Picasa in the past.

I have Windows 10 64 bit, and have just installed Qimage  v 2019.115

Thanks!
