1  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Lines in output in the sky. Settings Maybe? on: April 30, 2020, 07:03:50 PM
Problem Resolved.

I did look for the lines in the original image, at high magnification I do see dithering, but it followed the gradiation in the sky.

I printed a color image using the color version of the icc profile, at first glance I thought it was fixed. But I noticed the lines in a darker area of that image.

Doing a close comparison of the print driver setup, I realized in PS and LR the same driver was set to the highest Quality (likely done many months ago).

The same driver in Qimage was set to Standard Quality. Changing this to Highest has resolved the line issue in the color image. I will also test the B&W, but I suspect it will be fixed there.

Overall I am liking the interface so far.

I have a Canon Pro2000.
I have been very pleased with the output from LR, PS or Canon Print Studio.

My first B&W test from QImage I see lines in the sky. I rotate the printed image and the lines rotate with the image. I can print the same file directly out of LR or PSP and the lines are not there.

They appear to possibly be artifacts of the nozzle layout. The heads are clean, normal job workflow does not show lines.

Are there settings change in Qimage to change?

Any other thoughts?
