1  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / How do I reduce paper waste between printed jobs? on: February 02, 2024, 05:24:48 PM
I use roll paper on my printer.  Until recently, when I used Qimage to send jobs to the printer, the paper between jobs was about 1 3/4".  Then, I was trying to get color matching to work, and changed the Printer Profile to "Let printer/driver manage the color."  Now, when I send jobs, the paper waste is 3 3/4".  I was using the thin strips to strap up the photo roll.  How can I get that to work again.  I have searched on Qimage side and the Canon side, and I cannot find an answer.

Just so you know, I print other sizes, like 96" or 48".  They are imported at the correct resolution of 300 dpi.

What is the printable area of the page (size of the page listed above the live view)?  If you are printing on a 24 inch roll, maybe 21.8" is the printable width unless you activate borderless mode.  And what is the resolution of the image you are printing?

24 x 120 is the printable area.  I always print borderless.  I import a 24 x 120 300 dpi image.  But, when it lands in the left panel, and I put my mouse over it, it indicates the file is 200 dpi, not the 300 dpi of the original file.
6  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Large Format Printing Qimage Reduces Resolution on: November 12, 2020, 10:19:07 PM
I regularly print 10 feet long.  When I open those large images, Qimage is reducing the size from 24" x 120" to 21.8" x 109.22".  Why is that happening?
When I place the image on the center panel, and make it fit the page, which is the size I imported, Qimage says that it will print at 200 ppi.  That is unacceptable.  I need it to print at the original size and resolution, or I have customers asking for refunds.  Please tell me how to fix this.
Thanks!
