Yes, all is centralised on a server with 10G connection.  Can you point me out how to assign a different folder so I can try if this works for me?  I've been looking trough all menu's but can't find it.

Perhaps it is possible for future version to set the log folder independently?

I use Qimage on two systems and rely a lot on the Job log to retrieve info for re-prints or invoices. I now sync the job folders with simple app a few times a week, but it would be nice if I could set a network folder to save the job logs instead.
Could that be a new feature?

Thanks for fixing the mirror issue.

Also, have you tried the print preview?

I just tried it, but the 200x150cm@300dpi file would not preview ('insufficient memory resources...' on AMD 7700x 8-core with 64GB ram).

If the image looks correct in Qimage's live view but prints mirrored, the driver is mirroring it and therefore this is not a Qimage issue.
Of course this is the first thing I looked for and mirror was not enabled in the driver. A preceding and following print on smaller size would print normal.
The preview in Qimage was not mirrored either. One other thing I can think of is Windows 11 causing it, as I believe the 9400 driver hasnt been updated since 2021.

I don't see any reason to store a bunch of different resolutions because they are just going to inflate the file size without much benefit to other software that are not photo editors which can select individual TIFF pages... so might as well just turn it off.
I would never deliberately turn on this mode but as some clients and/or software do enable this, it is something I have to deal with every now and then. Anyway I figured it's good to be aware of this issue as it is not an obvious thing to look for and I've spent some time to track it down. It could help other people.

I've had an odd issue the first time in end of August and later last week, i believe both on v2023.xxx. When printing a very large image of 200x150cm on the Canon iPF-9400 it was printed in mirror. In a rush I 'solved' the issue by flipping the file in Photoshop thinking it was some kind of weird file bug. . But when seeing it again with a 200x150cm file, I figured it has something to do with size. Apart from that I have made prints from for instance 230 x 130cm without a problem.

A second issue, which actually had been a bug for many years, but still in this version: a TIF file which has 'Save image pyramid' enabled (https://community.adobe.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/387502i77EB9E02079C78BF/image-size/medium/is-moderation-mode/true?v=v2&px=400) will not be placed in the true size in Qimage, but much larger than defined.
This bug had been popping up more often lately, as Topaz Gigapixel for some reason chooses to export TIF files with the Image Pyramid enabled. It took my quite a while to pinpoint this issue the first time.

Yes, it seems a bit faster. Now I clock about 14 seconds for an anerage search on AMD 5800X with Samsung Pro980 NVME SSD, trough 68K entries.

Still would be nice to have a info message in popup or sidebar like '0 items found' or '27 items found'.

Thanks!

I don't see this when doing a search in Job Log... probably not talking about the same thing.

Any luck in upcoming updates?

Dear Mike,

Did you have a chance to look at this?

Even a simple [no results] prompt would already be a first step forward.

Thanks!

Thanks for looking into it!

It can especially be confusing when you switch to another task while waiting for a search to complete, to get back and not be sure if search is still going on or gave no results or maybe you've made a typo...  Would be helpful to implement some level of feedback.

Dear Mike,

We have been using Qimage for for quite a few years now, so the job log has grown to over 65K entries. This means searching trough the log can sometimes take over half a minute.
Of course it would be great to somehow get faster search results, but I would already be helped out with a progress bar and and/or a prompt window with the number search results.

Also it would be very helpful to be able to choose from an isolated list of search results, aside form the current highlighted results in the complete job log.
