I have had this for some time and when I update I get unauthorised.

If you then put the cursor into the address area and press enter it then goes through ok.

Thanks for your reply.

I also have had 3 or 4 Epson printers and the nozzle clogging started when I changed from dye inks always used epsons.

I just perhaps thought that their was a good solution.

Has any one any ideas as to how often to run the unclog routine to try and make sure you don't get any clogs?

Thanks for the replies I am sorry for the delay but have not been around until now.

I am unsure of how to get screen shots to you.

But the printer settings are essentialy the same as yours in the picture. bar Photo RPM - I have best photo

And the high speed is turned off.

I have now done a further print using file manager to print the test picture ( from digital Dog.) through the default windows printer and it is nearly correct just slightly dark.

This would imply that some setting in qimage is affecting the brightness.

I recently tried another paper icm that I downloaded from Epson america which has a peculiar name E_FICM9YE.ICM

But it is dated 2004/11/29 so is fairly old. for premium glossy epson paper.

Thanks to everyone for replying to this.

I have downloaded from digital dog a test print JPG.

I have printed through qimage with no adjustments.

It is too dark.

In the past to get round this I have turned on let printer control colour and then I can change the gamma.

Which would give me a reasonable result but not the same quality.

Hello Mike

After carrying out various tests including looking at the video.

I can not make the screen brightness as low as the print I am getting.

The print quality is fine but just too dark.


The print on the screen looks great if not a shade bright but the print is dark.

The monitor brightness adjustment before I started was on 50 out of a max of 99.

I can reduce to 0 and I can still not get it to match the print the screen is not really very good on 0

I have recalibrated after each change of brightness.

I understand that you are lowering the brightness to make it match the print then to increase in the editing stage to make it look right.

If you do this then my monitor screen will be too dark for everything else.??

Im using Raw files that qimage default processes.
My monitor has been done with spider. but to make brighter I would have to adjust brightness in the picture.

It is perfect on the screen.

Changing the monitor brightness would not change the brightness in qimage default.

Would It?

It would now look darker on the screen.

I have an Epson R800 and if I set up according to Quimage suggestions my prints come out to dark.

I cannot adjust brightness in the driver as we have turned this off.

Anyone have any suggestions.

I finally had a reply from Kaspersky they told me to download the latest version.

That is what I had already done everything seems fine.

I have just downloaded the latest version of Kaspersky internet security
Kis 15.0.1.415en-gb.exe

This has worked fine the version I had before was Kis 15.0.0.463en

So perhaps they have already found the fault.

I am obviously in England hence the gb in the file.

I will keep you poste but its looking good so far.

Hello Mike I was actually waiting for a reply from Kaspersky before I tried again.

But this program also affects my Capture NX2 and I have a lot of photos to process.

So their will be a felay before I can retry any way.

I will be doing so sometime over the weekend.

Thanks for the reply but I have tried that. I also have a friend with exactly the same problem with a different video card etc.
The only thing that I could think off was that Adobe Reader X1 came in at about the same time is it related?

I am running windows 7. The only other change is Kaspersky software got updated licence renewed.

I am also running Capture NX2 for Nikon software this also packed up in a more serious way it wont run.

It comes up with unhandled exception error ? then shut down.

I have an unusual problem with qimage.
If I double click on the thumbnail to enable me to go to the full screen editor I end up with a white screen (bar the controls).
If I click on the white I can see my photo for a split second, if I right click I get the small box with the blown up section correctly.

But I still cant see my photo except for the split second. I have installed the latest version 105 but no change.
I can still print from the program ok.

Does anybody have any clues to this.
