Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Recent Jobs disappeared from Recall list

Hi Fred, I've never recalled any Jobs from the little yellow folder to the right of the Properties button on the Settings screen (& I haven't found or seen those buttons like "J" etc.) As always, I'm clicking File>Recall and plenty of Job files from up for selection, but only ones that are much older and which (except for my latest print Job) are for a printer that I no longer have. Apart from that latest print job, the {Q}startup.job and the {Q}unclog.job, the most recent saved print Job I see in the Recall list is dated June 2014! I wonder if I've inadvertently bumped a key and hidden 4 years of saved Jobs, or Qimage has hidden or deleted them.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Recent Jobs disappeared from Recall list
|

I just launched Qimage Ultimate v2018.125 and printed a saved job. The program cautioned me about printing a job that had scaling in the driver, which seemed a bit odd, since I hadn't seen that message before when I printed that particular job. But I opened the Printer driver options and unchecked the scaling option, then printed the job which came out normally.
Then when I went to Recall another job, I saw to my horror that all the jobs I've saved in the last year or two have disappeared; only older jobs with an older legacy printer are on the list, except for the one I had just printed and resaved. If I've inadvertently made some kind of blunder, can I undo it?
I've looked in the folder that Recall opens (C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage\Save) but don't see any clues.

Sorry to be a bother, but I'm not finding the link; maybe I'm on the wrong downloads page or my browser isn't showing it for some reason. Could you please paste the link for the page where QUAdobePlugin.x86.2017.109.zip is located? Thanks!

Updated Qimage Ultimate to version 2018.103, then installed QUAdobePlugin.v2017.109.exe. QUAutomate.8li and QUExport.8be are now located in this folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins However, the print from Photoshop via Qimage Ultimate option is not showing up under File>Automate. Should I move the two plug-in files to a different location? thanks.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Epson 4800 printing larger paper than set in QimageUltimate

Thanks, Mike, and my apologies for not crediting you previously! Obviously I wasn't paying attention :-o
I had previously selected "Roll paper (banner)" with Single Cut, so I tried turning off the printer's cutting option in the printer's console, but that generates an error message saying the paper size is wrong, can't be done with Borderless printing, to reload. I can try printing another with all the cutting settings off (i.e. in the printer's console and via the printer driver), but my goal is to not have to cut these prints manually. I'd like them to emerge in the correct dimensions, ready to wrap in sleeves or matte and frame (we're in a gallery production situation).

Thanks, Fred - you have solved it 99%! Single cut and Double cut seem to yield the same result; I'll stick with Single cut.
The one last idiosyncrasy is that the E4800 cuts off a 3 1/4" x 17" strip of paper *before* printing. The printer's console is set to the cut roll paper icon; I generally pull the roll paper through the feeder to the "Other" line on the paper tray surface, then reset the paper levers and the printer rewinds the paper to what has supposedly been the correct position (I followed the same procedure with the Epson 4000 for several years). Then I print.
If there's a way to avoid losing 3" of paper each time, that would be ideal. However, I'd rather live with some wastage and have prints emerge correctly than have an inch of paper added to each job, at last for the time being ;-)
