Not just i1d2 but all of monitor calibration tools are sensitive to shock or moisture or dust which means their robustness are dependent on how the user handle them.

My first i1d2 died after 2 years of use and another spyder lasted little longer than i1d2 but not much of difference.

I’m using a Spyder3 Studio SR package now and I’m pretty happy with it.

I didn’t know such function is there. 

It’s so fun to use CTRL arrow and I played with it for more than ten minutes to get used to it.  Grin
Although, CTRL arrow is not exactly what I was looking for, it will save my time quite a bit.

I’m using Studio Edition and trying to find an easier way to place multiple images for roll paper.

Defining Print Location is simple and precise but if I have do it for over 30 images, it becomes tedious.

An interesting finding.
If I put image file name in Korean letter, QI prints file name in Korean but not IPTC data.
Sort of found a solution but it is not really helping me as I have to rename over 600 scanned images.  Grin

I have read IPTC standard and found following under FAQ:
Can I use IPTC standards even if English is not used at my company?
Of course! All IPTC standards are designed to be independent of any specific language. Although our publications are written in English and meetings are conducted in English, every recent standard is usable by any written language that is supported by Unicode.

I just discovered that QI does not recongnise info from IPTC data that written in Korean. 
I’m using Korean version of Vista 64.
Is there any workaround to printing IPTC Caption/Description that written in Asian double-byte characters?

A little less ink (in most cases) and about the same printing time can be had by using Best Photo and High Speed set to off.

The real understanding of how Epson prints these is an interpolation.  720 as the base resolution moves the paper (for argument's sake) 1/720th of an inch.  1440 moves the paper half as far each time, 2880 slower yet, and so on.  Some brands have a 600 or other dpi base resolution.

Think of a film or flatbed scanner.  They all have "native" optical resolutions.  Finer resolutions are made by stepping the head, film or light source at a lesser rate.
