Mike, thanks for the updates and you did a good job with the UI corrections for netbooks. All looks good at my end. Smiley

Thanks Mike. I knew you could do it.  I appreciate it very much.

Only one glitch so far.  When I first enter the edit screen and while the word "Loading..." appears at the top of the page I can see the "In queue" check box and the word "Filter:" under it.

Once the load finishes the RATINGS box appears a bit too low and covers both the "In queue" box and the word "Filter:" .  Looks as though there is plenty of room to move that rating box up a bit;  ie lots of empty space between the top of the rating box and the "Details box" at the very top.

Thanks Terry. Sure seems like a hand tool that can be used to move the image around inside the preview panel would be much more intuitive.

Mike, I've an issue with this update that has not occurred on any previous.

1. load your face/eye crop image into the que (For example)
2. Go into the edit screen
3. click on the USM eyedropper and select the skin next to the nose (Far right)
4. When the preview screen opens only the far right side of the image is visible
The image is shifted to the left side of the preview screen - not centered.

I am on a system with WIN 7-64 bit

Like I said, there is a difference between spam and blacklists.  There is no way to know about deleted blacklisted items as you state but I get a ton of spam in the  spam folder. (Not items I've marked as spam in the past)  They do not just arbitrarily delete all the spam.

I've been around getting email since it  was available decades ago and I think I'm sharp enough to know if email that is of any importance to me is getting through or not. In fact there is a lot I wish wasn't.  I've been dealing with your programs for many years now and I knew almost immediately that the problem was at your end; a fact that you admitted would be corrected. So why are we beating this dead horse?

Thanks for the explanation Mike. I knew you were probably out of  town and there was some sort of configuration problem.

I have never lost any email from Comcast. I can always check using their web-based mail client and find spam still on file in the spam folder, but I don't have any experience with blocked email. All I know is I have always been able to get updates for Flashpipe and Qimage w/o any problems, until this incident.

And BTW, I got 2 responses to update this morning, so I guess the problem was resolved.

I get the message: "Thank you.  In a few moments you should receive an email containing a link to upgrade FlashPipe to the most recent version."

If I wasn't entering a valid email I wouldn't get that message. I find nothing in my inbox or spam box and I've been getting updates w/o any problems ever since the program became available last year.

It also seems a bit strange that after being available for 3 days there is not a single comment positive or negative about this release.

Been trying to get the latest version for about 6 hours today. Made 4 attempts and never received anything back with the password or link.
Is something down on your end?

Thanks Mike. Now the program finally opens when I insert my card reader.

Mike, does this mean we are going to need a reboot after each new updtae or just for this one?
11  Mike's Software / FlashPipe / Re: Conflict Flashpipe and Win Vista 32bit. on: September 08, 2009, 06:52:35 PM
Those files are not even in the install: FlashPipe creates them on the fly.  Did you install or run FlashPipe (or start your computer) as a different user and then switch users?  That could cause the files to be created by one user where the other user can't write to them.

Mike

I am the only user on my laptop.

Yes Mike, deleting those 2 files did the trick.

Just to be sure, I shut my computer down and rebooted.  I then opened, closed, and shut down the program several times without a hitch.

Apparently those 2 files are a problem via the install process.

Mike, maybe a little more detail.

I got the error when I first booted my computer this morning.  Now when I manually try to activate the program I get this sequence of events.

1. Click on desktop shortcut - I get the "File Access Denied" error. However, I can close that error dialog box and the tray icon does appear.

2. If I right click on the tray icon and select exit, I get the "File Access Denied" error but I can still close that dialog box.

3. If I right click on the try icon and select "Open Window" the program window does open. From there neither the close button in the upper right hand corner nor the exit option in the tray icon will close the program screen.  The "Access denied" window just keep popping up. At this point the only way out of the program is to use the ctrl-alt-delete and stop the flashpipe process via the task manager.

4. From within the program screen, clicking on any option at the bottom also pops up the access denied box one time but then on a second try it allows the drop down option to appear. Very strange.

5. I can delete a line of options from the program screen and that option seems to disappear, but it obviously is not being written because the next time I envoke the program, all the old options, (The ones I originally input yesterday) reappear.

Hope this helps

Just to clarify, when exactly does this message appear?  Some have said upon opening FP.  Others say when closing the window.

Thanks,
Mike

The first time this morning it allowed me to open the program but not close it. Now I get the error upon opening and closing.
15  Mike's Software / FlashPipe / Re: Conflict Flashpipe and Win Vista 32bit. on: September 08, 2009, 03:11:13 PM

I ran the installer as requested and the information is as follows:-  Destination Folder C:\ProgramFiles\FlashPipe and the Application Data folder is C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\FlashPipe.  Hope this helps.

I'm haviing the same problem. All worked well last night but this morning the "Access Denied" error.  And yes my folders are the same as those quoted above.
