Sounds like an awesome deal.

Particularly, since I don't use any other features of LR, I would hate to have to spend a lot of money on LR just for the printing part.

And having been working in the past 15 years in the Graphics industry, I have quite an experience with adobe not fixing issues for a long time, particularly during OS transitions etc (both Mac (OS7 - 8 -9 to X and HW transitions 68K - PPC - Intel) and PC (win 3.11 - 95 - NT and on).

Thanks,

I will when I get home tonight (photo business is really my wife's business, but I have turned into her photolab Wink )
I just heard that it can be a bit of a learning curve for QImage, so I wanted to have it confirmed before potentially not succeeding and the write it off as not supported.

Hi all,

Since moving to printing my own prints after feeling my proofs always looks better than the prints from the lab, I have been printing on my Epson 1400 with pigment CIS inks using the LR3 beta.

I print a lot of "packages sheets" with predefined sizes and just have to Click the image, and it fill in the template and I just have to drag them if I want to adjust how the image gets cropped to fit the format.

Being very happy with the result, I just ordered an Epson 4880 to replace the 1400 I'm printing the Cr@pp out of.

I don't use LR for the image management features and I don't like how it does some of the raw development (how brightening affect the hue of colors etc). So it's only for printing.

Well, since I only use it for printing, maybe I should move to a printing software instead of getting the release version when the beta expires.

So, does QImage support this type of templates where you may have different aspect ratios of the same image on one page and just select one image to print, while being able to drag the image within the frame to set the final crop rendering for that aspect ratio (multiple sizes/copies of the same ratio will automatically use the setting regardless of which one I drag so I don't have to do the individually). The templates also have light gray borders for cutting guide, which are handy if I use white backgrounds to define the images. Finally I also have a logo on the corner of the sheet (out side of the images).

Thanks in advance

Mikael
