Mike, the size of the text in the ‘floating text properties’, that is in the box under ‘enter your text below’, does not seem to change as UI size is increased.  Do I need to change text size some other place?  On 4K monitor, it is real small.

Just a thought….

If REALLY needed, couldn’t he just add a 1 pixel white border?
18  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate Wish List / Re: AI resolution vs interpolation on: March 21, 2021, 04:52:06 PM
Thanks, Brian.  I understand.

I was just wondering if Mike had looked at them vs. ‘normal’ interpolation.

The 'enhanced'  .dng file is the same as any other .dng file, and will open in QImage in exactly the same way as anything other raw file.

Brian P

If other adjustments were made to the dng, either in ACR or LR, Qimage would not recognize them.  That was why I suggested a TIFF.  Unless Qimage was going to be used as the sole processor of the raw file.

Mike, would appreciate your thoughts on Adobe Super Resolution & Topaz Gigapixel AI vs Qimage interpolation for printing.

I would think that you could create a TIFF.

If you just want to center the whole image on both sides, use IntelliCenter since that will center the image on the physical paper.  You could enable the print preview in the driver to confirm placement before you actually print.

Mike

Mike, I know you do not like to tell people what to do.  However, would it be easier for the OP to just use one image/text and use Qimage placement functions?
23  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: v2020.118 issues/comments on: April 30, 2020, 08:46:04 PM
I assume all my ‘printer setups’ will need to be changed...Huh?

Mike, when changing to auto, is this automatically saved for the settings or does one need to save each manually?
25  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Center on page not printable on: August 28, 2019, 04:33:52 AM
Mike,

‘Template/centered’ butts the 5x7 together at center of page.  ‘Intellicenter’ Center’s it on the page, but puts a “gutter” between the images.  The point of what I am doing is to fold into a card and have the one face be a borderless picture.

Is there an adjustment I am missing?
26  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Center on page not printable on: August 26, 2019, 09:31:31 PM
Creating a template to print 7 x 10 cards on 8.5” x 11” paper.  Using Canon 1000Pro, which has trailing edge unprintable area wider than leading edge.

Using ‘Template/Centered’, it gets close to center, but is about 1/16 off (Qimage screen shows center at 5 7/16).  Printed page shows same measurement.

What am I missing?

It looks like I can probably get HEIC support added into the 2020 edition.  I'm currently working on QU 2020 which should be out by early October.

Mike

You always come through Mike!!!

Thanks Mike.
29  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Create uneven border - filling unknown width on: July 30, 2019, 09:35:41 PM
Just to be clear.  I do not want to use ‘page color’.  I am printing an overall 16x20 print on 17x24 paper.  I do not want to print outside the print border, but want it to fill the defined print area outside the resulting image area.

I hope I am explaining this properly.
30  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Create uneven border - filling unknown width on: July 30, 2019, 09:07:16 PM
I have, say, an approx. 1:2 aspect image.  I want to print to a 4:5 aspect (16” x 20”).  I would like a 0.5” border mat on the sides of the long edge, but do not know the exact space to fill on the short (top and bottom) edges.

Is there a way to do this (using ‘photo mat’?) without manually calculating the space?  That is, automatically fill the open space remaining above/below the image.
