Im using Lightroom on a Vista 64 system, printing to an Epson 3880. Im wondering, whether to turn off print sharpening in Ligtroom? In order to let Qimage do all the sharpening or let Ligtroom do the sharpening and turn off in Qimage???
I guess the same may apply in CS4?
I shoot RAW NEFs.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Epson. It is my pleasure to respond to your inquiry. Unfortunately there is no driver nor a driver in the works for Windows using 16 bit output.

Should you require further assistance with this issue, please reply without history (when possible), as our email system contains all previous correspondence. If you have a different technical support issue, please submit another email request via our website (http://www.epson.com/support), and we will respond in a timely manner.

Thank you again for contacting Epson.

6  Technical Discussions / Printers / Can an Epson Pro 3880 provide 16bit output? on: January 09, 2010, 07:54:06 PM
Am trying to find information regarding printing 16 bit output from an Epson Pro 3880 using  LR and CS4 using Windows 7. Im aware that the printer can provide 16 bit on an Apple system such as SL. The Epson driver for Apple provides a checkbox for 16 bit output. However, there is no such box in the Windows Vista 64 driver. Is it possible such a box shows up in Windows 7? If the printer can do 16 bit on an Apple, seems to me, it should be able to do likewise in Windows 7???. Huh?
I have read Mike Chaneys rant re: Windoz 7, and wonder If he uses a 16 bit capable printer in Windows 7? That is if Mike has gotten 7 to print for him??.
Thanks for any help.

7  Mike's Software / Qimage / Jagged Image Preview? on: January 04, 2010, 06:38:46 PM
Im sure this has been discussed on the boards, however, cant seem to find an answer, soooo. I know I can spacebar on a thumbnail and the image is perfect, but, in the image print window the image has the jaggies. This  seems to be true no matter what type image is viewed. Am I doing something wrong in QI Studio?
Using Windoz Vista Ultimate 64, 4gig mem, latest ver of QI.

Have seen this on the Web for a while now.

http://dahmerphotography.blogspot.com/

Works for a 3800 w/ driver ver 5.5
If anyone has a 3800, may be worth trying out, and its free.
