Mike's Software / Qimage / Re: mm to inches not consistent within app

Looks like there are no U.S. versions of that printer and Canon may have locked their driver to metric given that it is an EU printer. I would suggest contacting Canon to see if there is a way to change the driver units to imperial.

When you say you get mm for paper size and margins, it sounds like you are talking about inside the driver. When you are in the driver settings, you are in another program (not Qimage One) so we have no way to control the units inside the driver. Some drivers have the option to use cm or inches: what driver (printer) are you using?

It is working the way any multi-select dialog works. It isn't going to make arbitrary selections because you could, for example, select an image on page 1 and then you may want to select a second image on page 3. So it isn't going to make arbitrary (new) selections on pages as you go.
In the Full Page Editor, the only way it would be slow is if you have "all images" selected instead of "thumbs/small images" under the "view" option.

I can see even from that small screenshot that you have a manual crop on that print (manual crop created by you overrides the auto-crop). Click on the small round crop icon on the lower right corner of the print on the live view to remove manual cropping that was previously created.

Click the auto crop button and turn it off. See attached: the auto crop button is turned ON in the attached screenshot. Just click it and turn it off.

If you saved the job before changing to print-to-file you can. Or if you printed it before, you can retrieve it from the job log (button at the top of the main window).
When you set up the print-to-file, you probably used a page size that is different from what you were using before. If you are already set up to print to a printer and you switch to print-to-file, there is a button to the right of the "Resolution" entry that says "Use current printer page size and PPI" and that will create a print-to-file page that matches what you are using so this resizing doesn't happen.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that works if there is a thumbnail. I created a collage and there is no thumbnail for the image in the center panel
That's because that's not an "image": it is a layout. You can switch to print-to-file mode and print page(s) and then send the pages that were printed as files to your photo editor. Regards, Mike

The option under the Utilities menu just opens your photo editor. If you want to send a particular image, right click on that image (the thumbnail) and select "Send to Photo Editor/Converter".

Click the placement button under the live view and choose "Load Custom Layout". In the list you will find several "contact sheet" and "order sheet" options.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Matts and Borders

So there is now way to create a bevel within Qimage to make it look like it has a matt on top of the image?
You would do it the way Terry posted: with a cutout. You can use one of the included ones or create your own. Double click on an image to open it in the editor and then click "Cutout" to open the cutouts and pick one. Here's a ZIP file with a few user-created bevel cutouts that were created through the years. You can take these files and put them in the Qimage cutouts folder: in Qimage, click Utilities, Browse Qimage Application Data, go to the Cutouts folder, and put the images in the ZIP in that folder.
