Yes i did look at the log.  Unfortunately Qimage was reinstalled as new about 2015 after a system crash.  No info there to account for what happened.  I've been using Qimage since at least 2003.  It's a great utility!

Thanks!  This was a very informative discussion.  I learned a lot.

Drivers from the past would be great!  However if i "printed to file" (and I can at that size) how do i get that to the printer?  Just a thought . . .

Well that wont work.  Must be time to send them out or get a new printer   Roll Eyes

I don't see any other way. And how 2 installations would control the same printer. That's strange.  I'm sure it's one piece.  I still have test print in the paper box with notes.  i tried to attach a photo of but i don't see it in the preview. Thanks for your input!

I found that i had two PRO-100's installed.  One was identified as the the "Canon PRO-100 Series" and the other as "Canon PRO-100 Series WS".  The WS installation allowed me to insert a User Defined size.  But the driver still limited the size.   After research i found the WS meant Windows Product or similar.  Probably when upgrading to Windows 10.

I downloaded and installed new drivers from the Canon Site.  Still the same.  How did I print those 38 inch landscapes?Huh?  I didn't buy any RIP drivers!

I wish I knew how I was able to print the large landscapes!  I  have two hanging on my walls and printed some for others.  Problem is I never owned an Epson printer.  I did have a Canon I960, I believe,  but that was a small carriage printer.  I have no idea what has changed.  If i do find out, I'll post it here  Thanks for your help!

In previous issues of Qimage (i don't remember which) I was able to print 13 x 38" landscapes.  I still ave several boxes of paper that size which i haven't used in a while. But the latest versions of Qimage limits me to 26.61 inches.  What gives?
I'm afraid that I would need more info to help.
What printer?
Paper size;  sheet 13 x 38?
Are you using User Defined page size?
Is it a roll paper printer?
Fred

Thanks Fred  The printer is a PIXMA PRO-100 and as I remember I could type in any size paper that i chose to under User Defined. Since Qimage never limited paper size it must be a driver problem. (Thanks Mike)  I hope my machine managed to keep the old versions.  If not I'll wind up scouring the CANON Site.

Thanks! That's really good to know... I've probably had as many driver updates as Qimage updates through the years. Since large landscapes aren't something to do regularly it went unnoticed until now.  I 'll try to roll back some drivers to clear up the problem.
