1  Mike's Software / Qimage / Printing a tiled image to file? on: July 20, 2010, 10:05:19 PM
Is there any way I can print a (say) 2x2 tiled image to a set of 4 separate image files? Print to file only offers to print a single file.

Thanks for the replies.

I always check the printer nozzle patterns before I print. I also profile my printer (with a ColorMunki), so colour accuracy is usually not a problem.
I use a CIS filled with good quality German manufacture inks (OCP - http://www.ocp.de/content.php?lang=en).

I can usually produce a run of (say) 6 identical A4 prints, all with the same colour balance from Photoshop.

I've now managed to print to PrimoPDF to produce a PDF file with the 4 images that would make up the A2 print, and they all look pretty similar in colour, so it's probably a printer related problem rather than Qimage. I'll give it another try, checking the nozzle pattern _after_ the print run as well as before.

3  Mike's Software / Qimage / Color shift with 2x2 on: July 18, 2010, 03:18:01 PM
I've produced two, 2x2 prints to make A2 prints from 4 A4s. In both cases the last 2 A4s have shifted to a bluish tone, with the last print being worse than the third.

The first time it happened I thought it might be a paper quality problem, but now I'm not so sure. It might be printer related, but I don't see this sort of shift when producing a run of 'ordinary' prints. To see if it was a Qimage related problem, I tried printing to PrimoPDF and saving to file so I can hopefully examine the individual images., but it didn't produce a valid PDF file.

I'm using an Epson Stylus Photo 895 printer.

Has anyone experienced this or can suggest what the problem might be, please?
