There was some type of update to the printer software that came out in april.  one of the latest windows updates must have had a conflict with the older version.  It was a free download and I updated that and everything worked.

I ended up resetting the printer profile like you had originally suggested a while ago and that seems to have cleared out the bug. 
The settings are saving now. 
However, I'm super frustrated because the preview window is still greyed out and frozen so after all that...I still have the same problem.

With the new version, everytime I go to print, it resets my printer dialogue to default settings.
I have it set to print on a specific paper type with no color correction and to open the preview dialogue but when I print, it ignores all that and resets it all.
Not sure what to do to make it save and print with those settings.  I set everything I wanted in the driver settings, then saved those settings.
When I go to print, all the settings are reset.  In the print dialogue, I set those settings again, but it ignore whatever I input.

Ok, so I just bought the updgrade to the latest version and have it installed.
In the past, when I clicked on a thumbnail, it would bring up a dialogue box that showed all my prints sizes.  How do I do that now?  The only thing I can seem to add is a 4"x5" image.

One of the biggest things that has held me back from upgrading is that I don't want to lose my profiles and paper setups and all the customizations I've done since I got the program.  I know often when I upgrade photoshop, I have to reinstall all my plugins and stuff each time which really sucks so I wasn't sure if I would need to deal with any issues with qimage.

Legit point Fred.  How do I find out my printer driver info? 
I remember I had to update that about a year or so ago because I was having a print head problem and they initially thought something was wrong with the driver.

With the software, I've avoided updating it because it's always worked and updating stuff that works often causes more problems than it fixes.  But...I guess it's time.
I guess I have to figure out how upgrades work.

This is what I see.  everything is grey and I can't click on anything and need to force-close it. 
My qimage also looks different than your so I'm not sure where to access that option that you indicated.

Fred, where did you go to reset the media?  I'm not sure how to get to the screen that you posted.

Hi Fred, when I print from qimage, it processes the image, then brings up the print preview dialogue box where I can check and make sure everything looks right.
The print preview dialogue is fully grey with no options and no preview. 
I then opened the same image in photoshop and printed with no problems.

Hi, I've been using qimage ultimate for many years with no problems.  Today, when I went to make a print on my canon ipf8300, the printer dialogue came up but everything was greyed out and the preview never showed up. 
I was able to print from photoshop no problem so I don't think it's a printer driver issue.
Can you help?

The easiest solution seems to be to do the white trimming inside the print driver and then not worry about.

I'm not sure if this is related or not but it seems that when I choose different options, my dpi changes.  sometimes it shows 300, sometimes 600, sometimes 1000 when i'm using the same image.  is that related to the scaling issue?

I should add that it does this even when I use a 20x20 on a 24" wide paper so this issue is not related to having an image that needs to be scaled.

When I made the paper a larger size, checked the box that says "use actual size", add my images to the print queue and then trim the white off, the images get resized.  It does this ALL the time regardless of what option is checked in the borderless box and regardless if the borderless box itself is checked or unchecked.  It ALWAYS does this.
