1  Technical Discussions / Printers / Epson 4000 Sheet fed print area on: April 27, 2012, 01:35:02 AM
Sorry if there's a thread with the answer to this, but I was unable to find it so please point me to it if there is. I can't get an 8x10 out of a letter sheet on my Epson 4000 with QImage, it's a hair short of 10.

Printable area reported in Q is 8.266x10.333. The preview of image placement as shown on the screen shows the printable area offset toward the top of the sheet, as I would expect given the gripper area needed to hold the backside of the sheet as it goes through. Printing directly from an application like photoshop I can get the print area to start very close to the front edge (I'm not using borderless) and get the full 10". Even though Q's preview shows very little top space on the page, as it the sheet comes out of the printer the printed area appears centered, i.e. there's around 1/2 inch of blank space on the front edge, as well as the back. No matter what placement scheme I use in Q I get the same result. Also, centering is off in the driver.

Thanks in advance for any help!
