it's a way to take a single image and it will print a proof sheet with colors tweaked within a range and the info shown below each image. I got that wrong then. I'm not quite sure whether that amount of variation and on those tiny prints sizes is much use. With a good colour management and profiles, what I see on the screen is pretty close to what is printed, any QU edit variations can be saved as a different filter and printed as required as a "test strip". Terry Thanks! Since I used Qimage last and even printed, I built a new comp, my good photo monitor that was easy to calibrate is gone. Using 3rd party inks for my Pro-100 and some generic paper stock has been a challenge. I have it down to a point and just adjust for a cyan shift I am getting. The Pattern Print option was easy to get a good print....but I like working in Qimage better. Grabbing some paper tomorrow with ICC profiles and shifting back to Canon ink...hopefully will iron things out.

Hi, s there an equivalent to Canon's Pattern Print in Print Studio Pro?
You'd better explain what pattern print is. I did a search but didn't see a decent explanation. I did see images similar to the one attached below, made in a minute in QU. Terry It's a way to take a single image and it will print a proof sheet with colors tweaked within a range and the info shown below each image. Here is a screen.

So today, printed the same image and did not touch any settings....and it printed fine. Oh, well. There must have been some difference - computers are completely logical, it's us that are not I suggest, if not already doing so, you set the driver to show the print preview; this will avoid wasting paper and ink. Terry Thanks!

"Also, I just printed some 8.5x11 just the other day and did not change the setting when printing today."
Is that not your clue?
Did you change the paper size in the Printer Driver? By that I mean the driver for your printer - not just Qimage?
Tony
8.5x11 the other day, 8.5x11 today. 8.5x11 was chosen in Qimage and Printer Driver/Setup. I did not change anything since I am using the same paper and settings I was using when it printed fine. Not sure what clue you're seeing.

Odd thing happened today. I printed an 8.5x11 and it printed only a corner of the image, almost like it was trying to print on a 13x19. Print dialog said I needed to add more paper. Qimage shows the right paper size and so does printer setup. Here is the image of my nice in Qimage I was printing for my sister. And below that is what printed....Also, I just printed some 8.5x11 just the other day and did not change the setting when printing today. I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong....

The error address appears in a Windows DLL indicating that a Windows function crashed. It could be anything from a corrupted image to a network read error. It would be interesting to see if the error goes away if you copy all the images in that folder to your local drive and then build the thumbs/raw cache from there. If it works locally and not on the network, it indicates a network read/write problem.
Mike
Awesome.....BTW, I am running Win 8.1 Pro Preview......and after the error and a couple hours in QU it never happened again.

So today I am looking at directories in my NAS and I open one that I had not opened before in QU that had 92 RAW files. The phone rang and I talked for 10 minutes and noticed that all the thumbnails still said loading. Just moving the slider made them all appear. So I opened an image in the editor and messed around, came back to the folders and they all said loading again. When I moved the slider to look at more images and hopefully get the thumbs back, here is what I got. Clicking OK made the thumbs come back.

I may be a pain in the ass, but I love Qimage.....fantastic program, It's OK., we get all sorts on this forum Have you used QU raw yet, I think you mentioned using PaintShop-Pro? I have that program and QU "knocks it into touch" wrt raw. Check out the learning videos too. Terry Honestly, I have found so many things in QU like how it handles RAW files, I rarely open PS-P these days. And I did watch a few of the videos and they are really easy to understand. Funny part is, I only bought QU for printing, yet while using it I have had many, WTF...That is a cool feature!
