Mike's Software / Qimage / Text in Full page editor ....

..... a thoroughly irritating behaviour
when you add text to an image that you have in several copies on the page (the application is making small 2 x 2 pictorial lables on a page that is a 6 x 4) you can link your text item to all images, either on the page or throughout the full queue. Okay that's good and quick and easy. Then when you need to make a small adjustment to the position of the text item's position on the image it has forgotten all about the linking to copies on other images so they don't get moved when you drag one of the copies to a better position
When you reopen the text dialogue box then you can at least re-enable the link mechanism so that you can delete them all and start over BUT it does get a bit tedious after going round the loop a dozen times - methinks this doesn't really meet the Qimage design goal of making it easy to do great prints!

Mike's Software / Qimage / Re: Cut and then paste before or after

Hi Tony
I'm rather afraid there's no solutions in this area - I've tried with cut and paste, before, after, push etc in several drawn out battles with Qimage over the years. I've almost never been able to achieve my objective. These days I come back to it every six months or so and have another shot but usually give it away in frustration.
Qimage is a wonderful product but this part seems to me to be one whole achilles heel, sadly. From my observations the bizarre patterns of behaviour have changed periodically over the years and at least today don't seem to end in program execution errors and crashes as they once did but the whole thing is still pretty unpredictable and generally unusable.
I've generally only been trying to edit across 5 to 10 pages in a queue and I can't get reasonable control of what happens - I simply wouldn't attempt doing it with 50 pages as you have reported

Hi I'm inclined to suspect that the problem here may lie with Thunderbird.
I'm experiencing the same issue you are reporting and I'm also having the same problem when I try to use a similar function in Picasa. Interestingly Picasa can get them out through gmail okay but of course that's two google products working together.
In my case there is a possible aging o/s issue involved as I'm still running on W2k. With the increasing list of grief/limitations that is causing me I'm starting to think I'll have to stump up for Windows 7 later in the year and modernise myself :-)
