Thanks Fred. I hadn’t clicked on layout therefore could not see the annotation box. I will try to remember that in future. It is no fun getting old! Once again thanks for your prompt responses.

Thanks for your responses. How do I access the page editor. I have right clicked on the main page and gone into edit page but when I double click it brings up the adjustment box. Sorry to be so dim but any further help would be gratefully received. I used to know how to do this!

Thanks again Fred. I have now set up the programme for Photo Glossy 11 (following your instructions) and selected this paper manually in the media paper (I cannot get a screen shot of the drop down box but photo glossy11 is highlighted and appears in the media type box. I am attaching a screen shot from which you will see that printer profile is still showing "let printer/driver manage colour" rather than the wording in your screen shot which mentions the printer name and profile. Does that mean that I have set something up incorrectly or would you expect to see that wording in my printer profile box? Many thanks for your help - it is much appreciated. I am sure I will get there in the end!!!

Thanks Fred you have gone to a lot of trouble on my behalf which I really appreciate. In the matching tab I had been clicking on "Driver Matching" in accordance with the help box. I have now clicked on "none" as you have done but still in the Printer Preference box I see "Let printer/driver manage colour" rather than the paper profile as in your helpful screen shot. I hope I have attached a screen shot showing my result!!! Does this make any difference? I am awaiting delivery of the Lustre paper and will certainly let you know the results. Once again many thanks

I want to use canon lustre A4 paper in my canon pixma 8250 printer but there is no profile in the drop down box for media type. I notice in the getting started video that one is available using the canon A3 printer. Should I use the semi gloss profile? One other query if I may - having set up the qimage programme in the printer profile it says "let printer/driver manage colour" and there is a green tick in the driver set up. However in the video it shows the actual paper type to be used. Have I done something wrong in the set up. Many thanks for any help.

Hi Fred

Many thanks for your prompt response. I have set Raw Image Options in line with your template but it still seems to have no effect on the thumbnails even after they have been rebuilt. I have a screen shot of my set up on my desktop but for the life of me I cannot seem to find a way of incorporating it in this response!! The usual drag and drop or copy and paste does not seem to work. Can you advise me how to send this to you? Sorry to be so dim!!

Many thanks

Roy

I have recently installed Qimage Ultimate 2014.121 but I do not seem able to master the Auto Fill Light facility. I put a cross in the Raw image options and the cache of thumbnails rebuild but there is no noticeable change and the relatively dark raw files (Nikon D 800 NEF) do not change. Also when I go into Raw Photo Developing Options the fill is still set at zero. It is possible to move the slider to achieve the desired result. I have watched the video on this subject (albeit for the 2011 version) and cannot see where I am going wrong. Any help would be appreciated. many thanks.
