Technical Discussions / Printer Media / LightBox Images Printing?
on: May 09, 2017, 01:00:38 PM

Hi, Purchased a Lightbox some time ago, not the shoot through type but the one with actual lights. Have taken a couple images and on screen to me they look good and more important the wife says she likes them so to the question. "How would you go about printing this kind of image/" Paper type is probably my most 'WHAT ONE/KIND' of paper? Thanks in advance, Russ.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: How to Re-Set Qimage Please

Hi, Fred. As you can see I am not a computer wiz so really do not no how to get images as you did!! but did manage these two. As you can see I hope my printer settings are OK and the image does not go outside the small box on the right however when I place the image in the Que for printing it is inside the box but does not look A3 size as set in the printer on image one. If I click either fit to paper or page the image gets croped out on the Left side. Thanks Russ PS:- I notice that if you click on the uploaded images they do not show the whole image but right click open in new tab they do.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Can you change the import directory?
on: April 14, 2017, 12:11:54 PM
Hi, Just wondering if you can change where Qimage stores the images on import either straight from camera or via L/R, P/S. new Plug-ins I have three drives one for the OS and two for images (import and done) so would rather the images where imported to one of those H/D's. Many Thanks. Russ

Mike's Software / Profile Prism / Re: Is there a DVD Tutorial Please?
on: February 26, 2017, 09:53:44 AM

Hi. On having an email chat with Terry (and very helpfull he has been) he advises that the Canoscan software that came with the scanner (Scangear) option is now the way to go rather than spending more money to upgrade the VueScan basic software I already have but I have a couple questions (AGAIN!!) The instructions to use Profile Prism say to cover the target/s with black backing paper to shield from the white of the scanner under cover, would a piece of thin black cardboard from an old photo holder do the trick? a bit thicker than backing paper. I don't have the target yet and have been trying to setup within scangear an option to have a user defined so that when the target arrives and I want to calibrate for differant papers I don't have to keep inputting the numbers as shown in the attached image but every time I set it up and save it after the scan if I re-start scangear the the numbers have reverted back to standard. Thanks Russ.

Technical Discussions / Printer Media / Epson Prem Lustre Paper THOUGHTS PLEASE
on: February 23, 2017, 11:58:02 AM
Hi, Looking at some Epson Prem Lustre Paper beleive it is 250gsm. The outer package looks tatty but the paper itself is still sealed inside so I have two questions (1) as the paper is still sealed will it still be useable? (2) If you have used this paper would you give your thoughts on it please? Thank You. Russ
