Hello.
I am trying to create a slide show for a Club Presentation.
I am using FastStone. but,
I keep feeling it would be nice to be able to save a slide show in Qimage say as an exe file playable on any computer.
The Qimage show is far simpler, no fannying about getting the slides in order and better quality.
I have a lot of slide to show and I am in my keep it simple phase.

All went well for a time then problem returned and got much worse with total lock ups requiring a three finger action and restart.
Yesterday I did a re install and now all well again.
Sitting with fingers crossed.

Hello Mike
I did a new install. Start again with a clean sheet I thought.
Problem went away and all well for a time, then returned last thing yesterday.
Just done a quick test and all OK again.
I will sit with fingers crossed for now.
I 'think' the new comp. has got BullGard installed but I cannot find where they have hidden it.

Hello All
Oh dear, Oh dear. in a in a right old mess on all fronts.
After a complete computer failure, I got new one with win 11 and am rebuilding from all the back up and old disks
Got Qimage installed and I am re working some old images.
Tweaking some old Raws I keep getting error message -
C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage\redo.ses could not be saved. Write access denied.
Is it some thing covered in - Utilities - Manage Disk Usage?
This is just one of many problems.

I also like the larger views in the Advanced Layout tool (formerly called Page Editor)
What a huge and smart version.!! Hey guys and gals..... has anyone else besides Mel and I downloaded it? What do you think? Fred Yes, installed but no time to check it out yet. Looking forward to the Floating Text update. Jeff |

Hello All
Can one of you experts give me an idea of the compression factors when giving a Zoom club demo.
I have a presentation to give which is 34MB, and my internet connection is via miles of copper wire and therefore very slow, and I have no idea if my comments and indeed the actual image viewers are receiving is in sink with what I see on my screen.
When I look at others presentations the pics, comments etc are often way off sync. and my upload will be much slower.

I have almost completed mine, I have used Qimage, Affinity and Elements 7 to prepare the content, then put it all together with Scribus for final printing in Qimage
Why do it simple when you can make it complicated?

INK Cost Matters
So I really don't give a rat's behind that it is $17.00 for a 13ml cartridge (I get free paper if I buy 4 carts)
So what do you think, am I nuts?

No. You are getting good prints that give you satisfaction in doing a good job. Most of my prints are for giving away, but I am not sure all recipients appreciate the quality turned out by the Canon 100. even on cheap 10p per sheet Pound Shop paper. Jeff |

Hello and help!
I've been trying to save a landscape photo that has a caption along the lower margin. I can save the image OK, but the caption never gets saved . . . anyone know the solution, or what I'm doing wrong.
