2  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / 5 x 7 prints coming out at 5 x 6.875? on: June 11, 2014, 07:46:14 PM
Hi,

I'm trying to print 5 x 7 prints on 8 1/2 x 11 paper on a Canon Pro9000 MarkII (Qimage reports the print area is 8.000 x 10.685).

My photos have all been cropped to a 5 x 7 aspect ratio. I have the Print Properties set at 5.00 x 7.00 with a first border set to 0.125 and the location of the border inside the selected print size. Auto cropping is OFF. I am printing the crop marks.

When I print, the prints (2 per page) are coming out 5.000 x 6.875 (measuring from crop mark to crop mark) instead of 5 x 7 and I have no idea why.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
3  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Printer Settings Not Saved on: June 07, 2013, 12:17:05 AM
Hi,

Long time Qimage user, new to Qimage Ultimate.

I can't seem to get my printer settings to save (Canon Pro9000 MkII, driver 2.62.2.50).

I go into Printer/Page Setup. In the Print Setup window, I click Properties... and set the printer settings I want to use (Matte Photo Paper, Custom Print Quality). I then click OK out of the Print Setup.

I then go back in Printer/Page Setup and when I enter Properties again, the printer still shows Matte Photo Paper but is back to Standard Print Quality. Why is it not remembering my setting for Custom Print Quality?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

P.S. If I go back to Qimage Studio, the printer settings get saved correctly.

P.P.S. Looks like you can ignore this question. After going back to Qimage Ultimate after being in Qimage Studio, I got a message about the printer driver being updated and settings would no longer be valid. I went to Print Setup and set the settings and they are now being saved. Not sure what happened but it's all good now.

Thanks anyway Smiley

Thanks for the replies.

This appears to have been an Avast problem (the first I've seen after using Avast for years) and it was rectified this morning when they sent out an updated version of the virus database.

I reinstalled Qimage and everything is fine now.

After a little invetigation, there appears to be many people reporting this error with trusted programs that were running perfectly fine before the last VPS file update from Avast.

So it would seem to be an Avast error, not anything to do with Qimage.

Hopefully Avast will rectify the problem and everything will be back to normal soon.

Or at least I hope so because I can't live without my Qimage Wink

Avast (version 4.8.1368 using VPS file 091203-0) is reporting the following Trojan Horse in Qimage.exe Q10-104:

Win32:Delf-MZG [Trj]

I am no longer able to start Qimage on my system. When I try I get the following error message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I have tried installing older versions and I keep getting the same warning.

Please advise.

Thanks for your help.
