3  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / edit/preferences/window fade/off on: April 16, 2019, 02:38:29 PM
Hi,
My previous problem with pages disappearing from the queue, seems to be related to the "window fade" option.  When turned "off" and entering batch edit via double clicking main image (?), then click "Done", the first image in the queue is removed from the queue.  Turning Window Fade to ON stops this issue.  Does anyone else experience this?

Thanks

Chris

running latest version, "Thumbs" turned OFF

Hi,
I've just installed 2019.115 (jumped from 2018.120), when I double click on a image thats in the queue to get to the edit screen, then click Done, qimage removes the image from the queue.
If rather than double clicking the image to get to the edit page I use either the drop down menu or Ctrl+Alt+F then when I click Done and return to the main screen the image is still in the queue.
I have been through the "reset ALL program settings" and this has not helped.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks Fred.
It looks like I've missed the obvious first step....."reset ALL program settings" this seems to have solved the problem. I've loaded about 20 images in the queue and all seems ok now!
Sorry to have wasted your time  Sad
Many thanks

Chris

Thanks for the suggestions.
Images are definitely in the queue, of example I put 8 images in the queue then edit 1 of them. After saving the filter (clicking DONE) there are only 7 images in the queue.  I repeated this until only 2 images left in queue.
I've just realised that if I click "next" rather than "Done" on the above example, then the image isnt deleted, but as soon as I click "Done" then that image is removed from the queue.
Regarding the "IN Queue" check box I tried it both ways and still resulted in removal from queue.

Thanks

Chris

Hi, thanks for the fix in this update.
I'm getting a problem though, after editing an image in qimage and selecting "apply the filter to current image", the image is being removed from the queue?  any ideas?
Thanks

Chris

Hi, I installed 2018.106 last night and started to get an access violation message as soon as I tried to add a image to the live view area.
uninstalled version 106 and put 105 back on my comp, but still get the same access violation.
This seems to be only be happening when I have "Thumbs off (file name view) selected. Is anyone else getting this issue?

Thanks

Chris

I think the only one who thought it useless was Mike C.  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

This isn't about whether to keep it or get rid of it.  I would keep it just because queue is where Qimage got it's name. Tongue

My point was that I can see no purpose at all for having the Queue tab be your starting tab when you open QU.  Seems like all the scenarios you are proposing (where you are using the queue) are finishing scenarios, not starting scenarios.  By the time you get to the queue, you should have really at least glanced at the Printers and Settings tab to confirm printer and media, and you've probably used the "Prints" tab to pick your print sizes by the time you get to the "Queue" tab.

P.S.  In the next version, I'll add a little popup with two selections ("Insert" or "Replace") when you drag a thumbnail and drop it onto an existing print in the live view.  Then Fred will lose his only reason to use the queue.  We'll see what he says then.  Wink

Mike

Ok, I dont use Printers and settings or the Prints tab for the majority of the printing that I do, as all my settings are saved as Printer settings which are recalled when needed.  It's not a big deal for me but just seemed that as the other 2 tabs could be set as start up options it would have been useful to have that option for the 3rd tab (Queue).

Unfortunately the first 2 suggestions don't work for me as I'm not using the Thumbnail View

Actually, Chris, that was pretty funny to me.
It would be the same situation had you said, I don't have any of my own teeth.
I have a great of difficulty eating apples, nuts and peanut brittle.

Trying to help, I might advise you to make sure your dentures fit properly, use a dab or two of denture adhesive on the lowers, and try to  chew with a more balanced positioning of the food in your mouth.

... and you reply; I am not using dentures.

No disrespect.... just arrived as extremely funny.
Would have been better if you mentioned no thumbnails used at the opening of the discourse.

Fred

LOL, yes I agree, probably better to have mentioned not using thumbnails  Smiley though to be honest after having used Qimage for 10+ years and never used thumbnails it slips my mind that other people do.   Grin
