1  Mike's Software / Qimage / Re: Device Link transformation on: February 17, 2010, 03:52:49 PM
Dear Ernst,

What would you expect of device link support?
Simulation of one RGB-Device on another one?
Or quality improvement that the normal CM processing doesn't deliver?

I am looking for quality improvement.
For several printing systems I have created 3D-LUT's/device link's for superior performance.
Usually these are RGB->RGB transforms, sometimes RGB->CMYK.

Although I can easily perform the transform myself (I am a programmer) it would certainly be benificial to have it in QImage where I can enjoy numerous enhancement features, such as sharpening, scaling, etc...

Note that Photoshop (CS4) only performs devicelink conversion in the same colour space, i.e. RGB->RGB, but not RGB->CMYK Sad

Thanks and best regards,
Auke

Dear all,

I would very much appreciate it if QImage would support device link ICC profiles (as CS4 does).

Any chance of implementing it?

Thanks and greetings,
Auke Nauta
