Hello Denis.

The only way I've been able to revert to v105 is to use AppCleaner (http://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/) to remove v106 and then v105 will install and work, with the previous settings.

Regards

Peter

Hi! I am still having very similar experience. I can have access to some of the menu options e.g. see the screen capture.

Andrew, I edited my last response. New info may be relevant.

Yes it is!

And then I loaded my icc color profile (not from my saved settings) the colour matching was still greyed.

I then exited Q1 and restarted it. White screen.

Earlier I commented that the menus didn't work with the blank white screen. I may have been mistaken because I may have only tested the About menu. It didn't work. Now, with the above white screen, the menus drop down but the About screen doesn't work.

Peter

Peter,

In v2018.106, if you select Color Management OFF or your own profile, and open the Printer Properties, is the Color Matching sheet grayed out?

Andrew,

Following my responses above, I renamed the Q1 set up folder and ran 106.

It ran fine and so I copied my saved printer settings over to the new User sub-Folder. I proceeded to manually re-setup Q1.

Everything was fine so I loaded one of my saved printer settings. Q1 immediately aborted.

Regards

Peter

Peter, that is very strange. I have not seen that reported anywhere else. I will do some research and get back to you. Just to confirm your description: did you see this blank screen at ANY time using v2018.105? Or do you only see it in v2018.106?

Hello again Andrew.

No, the menus were not responsive.

Renaming the folder and installing 106 results in 106 running and presenting registration request. The About shows 106. However the Properties-Colour Matching isn't greyed but may not be until properly set up?

Peter

Since you can see the menu bar, are any of the menu items responsive? If you uncheck View|Dark Appearance and restart Qimage One, do you still see the blank window?

Even if you uninstall Qimage One, it might not remove program data files and printer settings files, although I do not see how they would cause this. You could temporarily rename the Qimage One application data folder, located at:

/users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Binartem/Qimage One

To access you User Library folder, you can open Finder, select the Go menu, hold down the option key and Library will appear in the menu.

If you rename the Qimage One folder to something like Qimage One Backup and restart Qimage One, what do you see? Note: you will be asked to register again if you do this, but you don't need to. Just close Qimage One, remove the NEWLY CREATED Qimage One application data folder and rename the back up folder back to Qimage One.

Hello Andrew.

Before I installed 106, I never saw any blank screens. After 106, yes, when I reverted to 105 simply by "over" installing.

After I used AppCleaner, 105 installed and runs normally.

Incidently, with most versions so far, sometimes it takes a while to load Qimage One (but no blank screens)

Hello Mike and Andrew

Please see my message regarding a problem with v106 here http://ddisoftware.com/tech/qimage-ultimate/mac-qimage-one-canon-pixma-pro9000-mk-ii-printer-settings-and-color-mgmt/msg22318/#msg22318

Hello Andrew

mac 10.13.2

Version 106 opens to a completely blank (white) window. Reverted to v105, which previously worked fine, and the same.

Have tried rebooting and re-installing and no better.

Completely uninstalled (using AppCleaner) v106 and re-installed,  same blank screen.

Completely uninstalled v106 and installed v105,  working again.

This problem occurs on my two mac book pros (different ages and models, both 10.13.2).

Regards

Peter

Qimage One v2018.106 for macOS was released today. This version grays out and disables the Color Matching controls in the driver when Qimage One is managing color. This means you don't need to worry anymore about changing the settings Qimage One needs with respect to color.

Thanks again Andrew.

While I was investigating the save/load settings problem I created tests. Just wanted to get rid of them. Your pointing to the appropriate Mac directory is sufficient for now.

Regards

If you mean delete a saved user printer settings file, no. Even resetting the printer settings from the software won't do that, because we don't want to delete data the user intentionally saved. We could look into adding a button to delete one selected in the dialog in a future release. In the mean time, each one is saved as a folder in:

/users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Binartem/Qimage One/Print Settings/User/

If you remove the one you don't want from that folder then it will no longer show up in the list.

Bear in mind, these instructions are specific to the macOS version. In Windows you can right-click and select delete.

Thanks Andrew.

v103 certainly fixes the Save/Load printer settings issue.

A question: is there a way in Mac version to delete a particular setting from saved list?

Regards

Peter

Qimage One v2018.103 has just been released, which includes a fix for this bug. If you go to Help|About in Qimage One you can check for updates and receive download instructions.

The TIFF transfer from COP problem I reported below, has now been resolved with latest Q1 version.

Thanks.

Mac 10.13.2 and Q1 v101

1/ I have been attempting to send a TIFF to Q1 from Capture One Pro (no plugins). I use the same procedure as works sending to Gimp and the Nik Collection (and others). COP creates a TIFF from the RAW and then sends it to the nominated application. Q1 loads, then a notice is presented: "The document Test.tif could nor be opened. Qimage One cannot open files in the "TIFF image" format. Needless to say, the file loads manually from within Q1. Would be handy since COP has a well established and large user base.

That's great Andrew.

When do you think the fix will be published?

Regards

Peter

Thanks, Peter. I can recreate here. It's a bug switching between the common printer settings folder and the user custom folder during the load operation. I will fix for the next release.

The two screenshots as requested:

Please post a screenshot of your desired printer settings before you save them. Then reopen Qimage One and load the saved settings. Post a second screenshot showing the printer settings then. That way I can recreate your settings here and see if I have the same thing happen.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks Andrew.

If I save the settings then I exit Q1, restart and the settings are as saved. Reload the same saved settings and everything remains correct. However if I change the media size and then reload the saved setting, the media size remains as manually changed.

I have created a number of saved settings representing representing different media sizes and/or printer colour profiles. When I load a saved setting with a media size different from the current, the media size (title and dimensions) doesn't change. However the printer colour profiles change accordingly.

Peter

Hello Andrew.

Could you please elaborate what you mean by "before and after". Before and after which action?

Thanks

Peter

Peter, could you please post a before and after screenshots showing the printer settings. I will try to recreate it here, since media size is saved with the printer settings.
