Excellent, thanks.

Yes, I could easily have ignored the ex unclog jobs.  I just like to know how to do stuff, even if it's trivial and irrelevant.  What was niggling me was the fact that the deleted thing was appearing in a drop-down list in the UI.

I used to drive the IBM engineers mad back in the day when I was running a computer bureau (remember those?) and one of the indicator bulbs failed.  They thought I was potty too, but the little twinkling lights were the first thing to look at when a program failed - as they were inclined to do.

Thank you.  Done that.  Excellent.

Now, how do I delete the "Saved Unclogger Setup"?  Even though it apparently won't get used, it's untidy just leaving it there.  Not important in the grand scheme of things, but....

Cheers
Phil

How do I remove a saved schedule when the printer driver has been deleted from the computer?  I've operated the reset thing in the help, and I've clicked on the delete icon in all the lists I can find, but it just won't go away.

I haven't used this feature for ages, and in between then and needing it again now, I have changed printers and (I suppose stupidly) deleted the old drivers and profiles.

I can operate round the problem for manual unclogging, so to speak, but if I try to schedule it, it stops with a "can't find the driver" message.

Windows 10 Pro and QImage 2018.101.

I expect I'm missing something, but I can't figure out what that might be.  I would be happy to just edit an ini file, given directions.

I never use QI for anything but printing - and that straight from Lightroom.  I do all editing and stuff in LR and/or Photoshop, so am really unfamiliar with QI's photo editing and raw conversion facilities.  Still, looking for UI discrepancies with the 4k screen, I had a look.  The attached screenshot shows what I got when trying a blemish removal.  I assume it's wrong, but as I said, I never use these tools.

Windows 8.1
QI user since 2005 or 2006, can't remember which.

Excellent.  Only one more thing as far as I can see:

At 200% UI, everything is perfect.  Changing to 250% moves the bar with the shortcut icons (does that have a name?) from the top of the window under the menu bar to the bottom of the window where I would normally look for a status window.  Screen clips to illustrate attached.

Oh - and for someone who was concerned about the useability of Photoshop and Lightroom - I can confirm that PS CS6 (v13.0.1)  and LR 6.1 both work flawlessly on this Dell XPS15 (15 inch screen 3480x2088) under windows 8.1.

Just installed 2016.110.  My hardware is Del XPS15 with 15inch monitor res 3840x2088.  The pixels are TINY, and on windows 8.1, setting the system magnification to 200% gives a useable effect - big enough to read, but sill get enough things on the screen side by side to be useful.
The UI changes in 2016.110 means that QI is also now useable on this PC at full res.
There remain one or two issues, most concerned with vertical headroom.  I have attached a screenshotwith the UI set at 200%.  I have one at 250% UI for comparison, but can't load it here because of size restriction..
  • The title bar seems to enlarge just enough to hold the Qimage version, but not the same size as other 'unskinned' windows - so the buttons to minimize, restore, maximize, close etc at the right hand end are still minute as a target for clicking.
  • The window which describes the skin and font in use clips the font at the top.
  • The window that describes the paper in the printer and its resolution is too small.
  • The window that displays the heading "Job Properties" is too small.
  • The description "[Template]" needs attention.

2016.110 is a great start.  Microsoft sure haven't made this easy!
