I have a panorama photo 11-3/4" x 34".  I print to my Epson 7800 setting paper size to 24 x 35 (borderless) roll paper, Auto Cut set to normal

I print the print and everything is ok.  

I cut the paper in half to use the unprinted paper later for any other orders.  I receive another order and print at the same size using the left over paper.  All settings remain the same except I turn off Auto Cut.  I still have it set for roll paper (borderless) and load as I would with roll paper.

When it prints, it does not print the last 3/4".  I end up with my photo being 11-3/4 x 33-1/4".  Fortunately the end that gets shorted is not a major part of the photo so it can be trimmed.  I just want to know so I don't waste paper in the future.

This has happened twice.  Should I leave Auto Cut on?  Would that be the problem? 

Should I print as Sheet paper non-borderless?  Will it print the entire photo?  I have always used borderless except if printing 8x10's on 8-1/2 x 11 sheet paper.

Any other insight?

Rebooted...nothing
Uninstalled...reinstalled...Still nothing

Any suggestions on why this program suddenly stopped working and only shows "Please wait"... in yellow rectangle in middle of my screen?

I have to go to Task Manager to close down.  Task Manager says program is running.  But again, only the yellow rectangle.

I Profile my monitor every month.  That is not the problem.  The problem is a yellow rectangle in the middle of my screen that reads Please Wait...and Nothing Happens.  Qimage does not open.

I'm going to try a to restart and see if that shakes things loose.

I tried to start QU and the window opened to ask if I wanted QU to use the new Monitor Profile.  I replied yes.  A small yellow rectangle opened which read Please Wait.

Nothing happened for over 15 minutes.  I tried again...same thing.  I downloaded current update QU20-116.exe, turned off my antivirus and installed the update.  Even tried to NOT use new Monitor Profile.

Still locked on the yellow rectangle.

Any Suggestions?  I used it a month ago with no problems. Using Win 7

Thanks.   I think I got it.  I changed some settings in my printer driver and that corrected the problem.

Paper size is 10 inch roll paper.  Print size is 10x8.  It is a horizontal print.

I printed again this morning and found it printed correctly and did not print second piece. I did change the Orientation to Portrait and that seemed to work for this print.

But please give me your recommendations just to be sure.

I just got my Epson 7800 repaired and upgraded QU to v. 2019.122.  After I sent a single 8x10 print to the printer, which printed fine, the printer printed another 8x10 but just as a small 1/2" strip of the photo. It even happened when I tried the unclog feature.  It printed on 1/2 page as I requested then another 1/2 " strip got printed.  I tried printing in borderless mode as well as non-borderless.

Also, when I click on borderless printing, the print resolution changes to 371 ppi instead of 360 ppi.

Any suggestions?  This did not occur until I upgraded.

Here's my problem.  My computer broke.  It didn't crash, the CPU heatsink fan broke free from the CPU and destoyed my motherboard and video card.  Hence I got a new computer.  I had quite a few custom sizes in the printer driver set up to print to my Epson 7800.  I had Windows XP Pro and now have Windows 7.  Is there a way to get those sizes transferred from my old hard drive to the new computer or am I tasked with redoing all the custom sizes?

I am not talking about the custom sizes in QImage Studio (I have them transferred), but in the EPSON driver itself after clicking on 'Printer/Page setup' Button in upper right then 'Properties'  see photo

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FRED A,  Thanks, I will try to reinstall after shutting off Anti-virus.  Usually do that on new installs from CD, but didn't this time with web download.

Thanks for the info.  I figure my machine is too old to handle it at a fast enough pace for me to work.  I'll have to wait to upgrade computer before I can really evaluate Ultimate.  As it is right now, with the crashes and all, I can't use it.

I even set the preferences to not cache the Raw files, still too slow compared to Studio.  Again, probably not the program, but my machine.

I'll Raw process with Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw as I have been doing for years now.  I'll still use Studio to print.

Hi Mike,

Pentium 4 2.67 GHz, 3 GB RAM.  Windows XP Pro (SP3).  Canon 20D (.CR2). 

Even another folder took over 15 minutes to load about 10 out of 120 Raw Files.  Switching between folders takes about 1 minute or more.  When I click on a new folder, the program locks and I can't do anything until the switch.  End up with a lot of "Not Responding" and have to shut program down (ctrl-Alt_Del).

Maybe my machine is too old for Ultimate.  I have been using QI Studio for about 3 years now and it is great, used mainly for printing!  Raw files load in only a few seconds. Very quick response with everything I do.  I've cropped, printed from RAW, PSD, TIF, JPEG.  They are all about the same speed.

I downloaded QI Ultimate yesterday.  I redownloaded the newer version today.  It takes forever to load, then when I go into a folder it will not load the thumbnails.

I just had to stop (ctrl-alt-del) the program as it would not close with the 'X' close feature.  I had it running for over 15 minutes and out of 60 raw images only 6 had aquired a thumbnail. In the meantime, nothing on my computer worked, IE explorer wouldn't load.  Seems like it is taking all the resources.

I am running XP, 3GB RAM.
