Does your printer not have a "Preview" capability?  On all my Epsons, there is/was a "Print Preview" check box.

I start QU from the task bar and keep my desktop clean.  I guess that's why I have to "click" NO with each update.

Hi Terry.  I've set it to NO on every install I've done since starting with Q (about 8 years ago?) and it always comes up with YES checked as the default.  It's certainly not a big deal but I thought I'd mention it.

Just a suggestion, since I imagine that most of the people downloading a new version are customers, how about making the default to the "create a desktop icon", No instead of yes?

Thanks Fred.  I never noticed the "hint" since I just would go right to clicking it in the editor as I had forever  Shocked

I have been trying the new HDR on numerous images.  I've found it to be very useful.  Is there any preference to using the fill in the raw exposure development or in the editor ..... or both?

This feature would certainly be a great addition.  I would shoot HDR a lot more!

I had the same problem.

I would like to add my vote for multiple USM's to the same image.

I was not addressing the subject in general.  This is a known problem for Epson printers and a way to handle it while not changing anything to throw off a properly calibrated monitor.

I have been an Epson user for many years including the 2200 since it was introduced and now the Epson 2880.  The problem is not with your monitor calibration.  The Epson printers do print darker than the screen.  The answer is to adjust the Color Density.  Go to Printer Setup in Qimage, then properties/paper config/ color density.  Adjust the color density so that the print matches the monitor.  I find I have to use -5.  Others have used as much as -12.

If you change the monitor settings to match your printer, others looking at your images on their monitors will not see the "correct" image.
