1  Mike's Software / Qimage / Re: Spools Then Nothing on: October 21, 2009, 01:08:41 PM

File size is just under 673 meg and there is only one layer so I have no clue what the deal is with this. More thinking cap time!

Thank you Mike.

I added a gallery wrap action that ran and it is supposed to automatically flatten the file however perhaps there is an issue with it so I will go about trying to find the issue. I assumed it was a driver/Windows issue as soon as I saw repeatedly that Qimage was finishing its work, but thank you for helping out.

Have a good day

Should have mentioned that I have tested and the file will print from Photoshop CS4 without issue, however I much prefer the output from Qimage. I am running Vista Ultimate 64 on a higher spec'd machine.

thank you

Morning,

I have a large .tiff image file I am attempting to print via Qimage (newest version) and for some reason it processes the file just file and begins to send it over to the sprinter. I open my printers folder in Windows Vista U64 and  see it building then nothing. The spooling appears to stop and the print folder just closes. No errors, no nothing.

Desperate here as the prints are for a show coming up in four days and there are canvas and need to be coated/stretched.

I thought perhaps it was a pixel size limitation but they are 17400 by 6600 and thought Qimage did larger than that. I also seem to recall HP Z3100 driver was capable of larger. Files size is approx. 658 meg.

Help!

Thank you,
Derek
5  Mike's Software / Qimage / Fine Access Denied Out of Nowhere Now on: August 26, 2009, 01:55:51 AM
Evening,

I am trying to print an image using Q and all of a sudden and out of nowhere I am getting a error dialog box saying File Access Denied when I try to change the icc paper profile.

Does anyone have any idea why this would happen when it was working fine just a day or two ago?

Thank you,
Derek

Ahh so it is the evil printer doing the trickery! I should have known all along.

Thanks much for the further information, help and suggestions!

Morning,

Need to mess around more, but I did try borderless last night late and to no avail as I still have issues where the width of both the 8x10 and 16x20 were altered even though there is plenty of white space around the existing prints.

Anyway I will see what I can figure out this morning and update as needed.

As for Wasatch I am only really getting it to be better able to match spot/process colors from vector graphics programs like Illustrator etc. Qimage is a fine printing software to be sure. It would be nice if printer manufacturers put as much effort into their software as DDI does!

Thank you for the help,
Derek

Evening,

Yes I am using an HP Z3100 24 inch and from all the kind people here added I guess I must make sure each time I print that I set the HP driver to Borderless. Sorry seems a bit odd to me for some reason and not really sure I can explain why kinda like looking at a word you have spoken and written thousands of times, but it still does not look right when it stares back from the page!

Anyway I will try the borderless option as suggested while I wait for my new rip software to be delivered.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and humor!

Derek
9  Mike's Software / Qimage / Margins - OMG on: August 11, 2009, 09:09:11 PM
Hello,

I would have thought this would be easy, but I keep banging my head for some reason. I am sure it is something simple I am overlooking, but brain freeze has taken over!

I am simply trying to print two 8x10's and one 16x20 on a custom 24x27 inch page size and I will be darned if I can get Qimage to make its forced borders go away so each print is being cut off on the width side by a portion.

Basically I don't want Qimage to add any margins as there is enough paper on all sides.

Why can't I get it to stop putting margins on the "template"?

Thank you,
Derek
