Thanks Fred. Sounds like it will work.
Will let you know.
Any suggestions which liquid refreshment will speed up the room rotation? Will only 15year old do it or can I stick to the 10 year old.
If it's 30 year old for the job, I might as well demolish and rebuild.

Great. Thanks.
Would be nice to see the cuts in QI. Good workaround though.
So do I select multipage in the driver, or Poster rows and columns in QI?
Door width about 30inches and height about 84inches.
I would like to have the joins running horizontal and not vertical.
How's that for testing your knowledge?
Thanks for the help Paul

Thanks for the prompt reply. You guys have been at this for years. Amazing.
It would be nice if the page editor showed where the splits would be. Perhaps an added feature for new versions?
Have a great day. Paul

So now the idea is taking shape. I have been asked to print one of my photos onto Phototex to cover a door and a wall. Door is 70cm wide and 2metre high. The wall is also 2mtr high but about 4 mtr wide. My printer is Epson 7900 24", 62cm Using Qimage, how do I instruct the printer to give me some overlap on the joins? Plan is, as I have seen on utoob, hang each strip, line up the next one with some overlap and cut thru the overlap so all joins are virtually invisible. Do i use "poster", edge to edge, what... ?? Thanks guys. Have a great day. Paul

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to set up QI as a printer? i.e. in explorer, or any other browser, select some photos, right click to print them and amongst the printers available is QI. Just like you can print to Adobe PDF.
Perhaps instead of a print driver one can right-click and use the send-to option?
Have a great weekend.

Thanks Fred, You are right. My printer is Epson 7900. I want to make some wallpaper using Phototex. Fun stuff.
I want to cover a wall about 6 foot wide and about 4 feet high.
I realise I am going to have to line up the separate panels on the wall. I was just wandering if Qimage will show me the separate panels as a preview, like page 1, 2, 3, etc. Or do I have to wait till it is printed?

Hi, I want to fill the wall with a photo on phototex 24". I see qimage can split the image but the preview only shows one page with red writing on the left top showing the split across pages. is there any way i can see the split before actually printing?
does qimage calculate an overlap? Thanks paul

Technical Discussions / Printer Media / tiff, jpg, prophoto, adobergb, srgb

Hi Folks, Just thinking and reading about profiles and printing and some questions arise:
I shoot raw, use Capture One to convert to jpg and tiff. Tiff I process into Prophoto cause I want to keep all the colours my camera can capture. Jpg goes into adobergb or srgb, as the mood and audience take me.
Which one should I print from. Normally I print from the tiff/prophoto. Wrong or right?
Have a great day Paul

Technical Discussions / Printer Media / Profiling from scratch

Hi Folks, Hope somebody can help me. I have a few different papers, sample packs, rolls, etc.
I know how to use my XRite software BUT what settings do I use in the Epson driver?
Assuming NO profiles can be found on the net, how do I start to profile?
Do I take a good profiling photo/image and print half a dozen copies using different paper settings as listed in the Epson driver? How do I check how much ink is right for the paper?
Sorry so vague but hope somebody experienced can help and tell me how they do it.
Paul
