can't find it - can u please name the function.
Here is a screen snap of it
Right click on the big image in the center of the screen and you get that  menu.

Fred
If still not good, I will be happy to make a video for you.

Oh yes - i get it now....WOW.....great functionality - this could be fun!!! This is something not done easily without qimage. It's good that it holds the aspect ratio of the image also - very clever.

Thanks v much qimage.

Version 101 runs much faster/better than V100 !!! Grin

yes - thanks for the tip. I was trying to move it around but couldn't find a way to do it. Now i know. The functionality is really good - I like it. I like how you it prevents you from simply sliding the image off the paper.....only when i have enlarged the image do i get more room to move it around - makes sense.

What does the red bar at the side signify?

I used to be very particular about having 100% of the captured images printed only - no cropping. Then in the last few sessions of printing i somehow discovered Auto Crop was on and i love how it uses up all printable areas of the paper and yet my 'vision' of the image is still pretty much intact. My prints actually looked much better with Auto Crop on. Grin

Thank-you Qimage.

Could be my computer?.......I"m getting a lot of "Please Wait" dialog in yellow and Qimage takes forever to respond.....I've already lowered the quality of the thumbnails to minimise processing.

The "Please Wait" yellow reminders are generated when Qimage is building thumbs and cache, and you ask it to do a different chore.
Just let it finish the "build" and no more waiting time.
Look above the thumbs and watch the numbers changing.
Fred

Qimage is much faster if only use it towards the end of the process - that means start it up for printing. If i try to use like Adobe Bridge it will slow down too much....processing in the background to try to keep up with the updates to the files.

Have gotten a number of incidences from my 2019.100 that the software failed to be closed properly. It then offered normal or safe starting up modes.

Can we please have a more obvious auto cropping button showing it is OFF or ON?

Currently there's just the handle of the scissors colored in blue to indicate auto crop it ON. I would like to see something really explicit and obvious so that when I'm printing when I"m tired I won't miss it.

My suggestion would be to have that button totally colored - not just the scissors. Say a bright thick (it has to be thick) luminous green border around the auto crop button when it's ON.

I"m happy to see there's an update to v112 to v113. I won't miss v112. I hope there's improvement in the way qimage is used. All that left brain.....right brain stuff....and when I click a button i don't get the results I expected......thank-god Boeing and Airbus has not bought that left brain/right brain philosophy. Otherwise planes would be falling out of the skies.

When I click the function I expect the function to work correctly....just like a typical microsoft, Apple or Adobe software.....no funny/weird stuff. It must be intuitive.

V112 was a bit wonky. I've yet to use V113.....here's hoping for an improvement.

When the setting has been set to 'Fit to Page' is should remain so whether it's A4 or A5.

Am i correct to understand what you said is that on my A5 setting it is Fit to Page....but when i changed to A4 that Fit to Page no longer applies and i'll have to manually change it to Fit to Page (for the A4 paper)?

So that's what i meant - u would assume that it's on Fit to Page will be enforced.

Arrgh.....I still have issues with V112.

Am i meant to restart qimage everytime i make a small change in my settings?

I printed 1 x A5 size.

Did some modification to the file on Photoshop.

Qimage refreshed the file - and changed my paper to A4 - fit to page - the print preview changed to 'fit to page' and i thought everything was OK -  But it came out printed A5 on my A4 paper !!!!! This is not the first time it happened like this - it looks like the refresh settings are not being sent to the printer.....Huh?Huh?

Arrrgh....OK. I'll try to refrain from clicking stuff back and forth......

Do i only get 1 attempt at Prints-choosing the print sizes? Because the 1st attempt will show a yellow highlight around Fit to Page (because i chose it). Then when I choose another size i would lose the yellow highlight and never get the yellow highlight back. Even if i click on Fit to Page again nothing shows that I have chosen it......
From then onwards i'm flying blind as to which sizing I have now engaged.

I very much prefer the way QImage worked in v 2017. I'm always getting my panties into knots working with the v2018 version.

15  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: WTF - exploring print sizes created a print job in the Queue tab?????? on: November 25, 2017, 11:10:39 PM
After playing a bit - to confirm the image is 100% I will look for four tiny green buttons  on each corner of the print. When it is cropped the buttons go red. So that's a good confirmation for me that I will be getting 100% of my image printed when i get four tiny green button.

Feature request - a much bigger indication/indicator to confirm it is a 100% image - maybe a large nice green box just right under the image or a green colored border whenever it is a 100%. It can get tiring to always have to ensure that the 4 very tiny buttons are green for 100% - especially when it's late at night and one has already done lots of print jobs and there are more to do.

But I can confirm that Fit to Page does not work when you toggle other sizes and come back to Fit to Page. You have to click Auto Cropping Scissors twice to enforce Fit to Page to work as advertised ie. produce a 100% image.
