1  Technical Discussions / Computer Software / What should I look for? (General Laptop/PC Vj'ing) on: May 29, 2018, 03:06:08 PM
Hi,

I've been looking around the forums what I should look into for a Performance Laptop/PC but I only see people posting their setup and asking what is good and what isn't. My question is more focused where I need to look at.
I know SSD is a must have, but what about RAM, CPU etc etc? Does a double graphics card make a diffrence vs a single one? What are my priorities when I'm looking at a new rig?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

2  Technical Discussions / Cameras / Listing of all digital cameras with Twain support? on: May 29, 2018, 03:04:19 PM
Hi,

While this is usualy the case on higher-end digital cameras, I'm finding twain support is far more sporadic for consumer models. Is there a site anywhere that keeps track of what models from every manufacturer that suport the twain interface? Going by the FAQ for each model by each manufacturer is tedious to say the least.
The reason I'm looking for consumer-oriented devices with TWAIN support is that the cameras are going into a kiosk (there will be several), which is of course rather space restricted. While a webcam can substitute for one function, the others need higher resolution and better quality (along with digital flash) for the other functions.
So webcams aren't good enough, high-end digital cameras are too expensive and too big. We're looking at the $200 range here with models that aren't much bigger than the palm of your hand.
Any options?

Please help.
