I think in this case where you are using B+ borders that make your print size larger, auto roll length is fighting you.  Turn off auto roll length and set your page length to something long: long enough to easily hold all the prints you want to place on the page.  Then at the end when you are done adding all your prints (and borders), turn auto roll length on.

Mike

When adding a gallery mirror inner border to an image, the image size is changing.
I'm using a Canon Pro 4600 - AI is not supported on this model - just in case this is relevent?

Example of issue but occurs on different roll media/sizes:
Using 24" matt paper roll
Set width 609
Set auto roll length

Print size - 297 x 420mm (A3)
Add required image.
Image popup confirms correct image size.

Select image. Add gallery mirror inner border - 25mm
Dimensions now 470 x 309.1mm
Expecting 470 x 347 (+50 border)

Select image. Reselect 297x420 print size.
Size changes to 470 x 325.9
Still wrong

Repeat above:
Select image. Reselect 297x420 print size.
Size changes to 470 x 334.3
Still wrong

Repeat above:
Select image. Reselect 297x420 print size.
Size changes to 470 x 347

Why does size change when adding the borders (set to B+ to add to outside)?
Why do I have to press the 297x420mm print size 3 times to get 297x420?

Thanks

Thanks for letting me know.  Look at the comments on that video of the girl playing the guitar.  There are thousands saying they clicked on a research paper, product, or even a link in a Wikipedia page and ended up there.  It looks like some glitch in the YouTube code (only for mobile) causes it for older formatting of links.  I guess it's YouTube's way of Rick Rolling everyone who hasn't yet updated all their links to the new "youtu.be" format.

In any case, I updated all of them (search and replace).  Should work now.

Regards,
Mike

As a new user, I've been crawling over the videos.

Not sure if this is a general issue, or a 'me' issue, but in the video learning centre, I can't open any of the older 720p videos on either my ipad or iphone - I get a video of a girl playing a guitar, no matter which video I click.

If I try and access these videos on a Windows PC (Edge browser), then I get the correct video.

Just thought I'd flag it :-)

New drivers (ones that don't conform to existing driver standards) will be reviewed for AI inclusion in the 2026 version.  Just a few months away.

Mike

Hi
AI says it doesn't support the Canon ImageGrafPro-4600

Are there plans to add support for this printer?

Thanks
Roger

You can do it right here.  Explanation may be good enough but if your screenshots are too big, you can always post them as image links.  Just put them on Google Drive and post the links here.  That way you won't be limited on size as you are using your own bandwidth.

Mike

Having issues with image sizes not displaying as expected when using an auto roll.
Wrote a long post explaining it with some screenshots, for this post to be lost as the attachments were too large...

Is there a way to get easy support with initial new user questions?
