You may be watching an old video and thus looking in the wrong place for the feature.  Here's the updated video starting from the timestamp where you add floating text:

New user to QU.
In learning videos I note that there is a text function under the full page editor where you can enter customer text.
This was under a section called 'Text'.

I don't have this in my version.
The only option I can see is for file information to be inserted under the image.

Has the custom text function been removed?

Thanks in advance.

The sale is on!  Now through July 11 you can get Qimage Ultimate for $20 off.

Tell your fellow photographers and send them the 2 minute video showing a dozen things that only Qimage can do: https://youtu.be/Vc7Z0sRkJYI

Maybe your Lightroom installation got messed up somehow and Qimage (the installer) can't find it.  You could try uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom and then reinstalling Qimage but before you do all that, there are instructions on how to manually install the LR plugin in the Plugins folder:

(1) In Qimage, select "Utilities" from the top menut and then "Explore Qimage Application Data"
(2) In the File Explorer window that appears, open the "Plugins" subfolder
(3) Next open the "Lightroom" subfolder
(4) Finally, open the QUExport.lrdevplugin subfolder and then open the ReadMe.txt file

In that file you'll find instructions on how to manually install the LR plugin.

Mike

I just updates QImage and it was working fine. Now all of a sudden I cannot get the LR plugin to bring photos into Qimage.
I uninstalled withe Revo Uninstaller deleting all left behind files and when Reinstalling the issue still continues and the UI is the same as before Uninstalling. Is there a setting I might have inadvertently screwed?
Is there a setting or utility to restore to factory or defaults and start over? All I have tried  has not worked

Thanks in advance

The problem is the XPS driver: it has many issues.  The XPS driver is only 16 bit for Canon software so it is useless (and buggy) for anything else including Photoshop, Lightroom, Affinity, etc. because the driver pipeline in Windows is 8 bits.  Qimage already does 16 bit printing via any driver including 8 bit drivers so there will be no difference in quality.

Bottom line, don't use the XPS driver and instead use the normal non-XPS driver.

Mike

It’s supposed that xps driver is 16bit, isn’t it? I have been using it for 6 months. But I have this problem, could be it related to pronto to 600ppp and image that is 300ppp. I’m enlarging in image and maybe it generates banding in solid colours. Sending the image with off (300) I have no problems resizing to 600ppp it gives me banding.

Thank you

You should not use the XPS driver with any software other than Canon's print layout software: it doesn't work properly for any other software and doesn't work as a general printer driver.  It offers no benefit and has bugs so just switch to the regular driver.

Mike

Hello i'm printing with Canon4000XPS in 16bit driver mode and i know the driver accepts images in 600dpi. My images are in 300 ppp and when i print i set Print Resolution to 600 and Interpolation to Forge. When i set this i get a small banding like when i get a clog. But if i print all to OFF i get perfect images. How i should print to get rid of the banding and printing to 600 ppp. I would like to use the interpolation from Qimage.

What i'm missing ?
