That sounds like a Photoshop problem.  Doesn't really matter that Epson and Canon plugins work as all software is different.  If Photoshop itself crashes, there has to be an Adobe issue.  It's working fine here on the latest PS and I've not gotten any other reports of a problem.  I don't know what kind of images you are working with but if they are complex with layers, etc. try loading one simple JPEG image in PS and see if the plugin works with that.  Maybe it's a file/image format problem or related to image format compatibility.

Again, I would request that I can optionally disable this function.

Even taking into account your suggestions, I spent much of the morning testing papers before I realized that both the BPC and Rendering Intent settings are also changed based on the Media Type.  Tossed out a couple of hours of work.

I would have thought that those preferences would have remained set to what's in the Preferences/Color Management Dialog, not based on a particular medium.  That's pretty counter-intuitive to me with respect to menu hierarchies.

Excuse the rant, but I'm just frustrated at having to start over.

Are there any other settings not on the Printers and Settings page that are controlled by the Media Type?

Thanks

You are the only one reporting a problem so it might be some issue with Photoshop.  Do you get any error message(s)?

There are several ways to do this.  There's a cropping tool (right click on the print on the live view and select "Crop Print(s)".  But the one I prefer is in the Full Page Editor: click the down arrow (More Tools - Full Page Editor) button off to the lower right of the live view.  Then in the Full Page Editor, click the Cropping tab on the top right and you can select a print and move the Zoom lever and drag the crop around in the small window on that Cropping tab.

Mike
