Thank you very much for the quick reply! I am relieved to hear that this is a problem that is not unique to me.
Best regards, Ernst |

Confirmed: I'll fix this bug in the next release which is currently in the works. Planning on a new release coming out in the next couple weeks.

Sometimes I want to add borders. I do this in the Full Page Editor with First and Second Border settings. To choose the color of the borders works fine using "Pick with Dropper". But when I try to set it with "Choose Color" it does not open a color table. As alternative solution I do it with "Photo Mats" and click on "Choose placemate color" - there it opens a window with colors to choose.
I am working with Qimage Ultimate V2024.101 on a Windows 10 system. I do not remember, if I tried to do this with earlier versions. Many thanks for any suggestions! Ernst |

So there is now way to create a bevel within Qimage to make it look like it has a matt on top of the image? You would do it the way Terry posted: with a cutout. You can use one of the included ones or create your own. Double click on an image to open it in the editor and then click "Cutout" to open the cutouts and pick one. Here's a ZIP file with a few user-created bevel cutouts that were created through the years. You can take these files and put them in the Qimage cutouts folder: in Qimage, click Utilities, Browse Qimage Application Data, go to the Cutouts folder, and put the images in the ZIP in that folder. Quote Is there a way to give the photo mat a bevelled look? Attached is what I've done in the past with using a Cutout. The Cutout image was created in a 'drawing' program.Terry |

Do you have a video for this? If not I have a simple white border around my photo now how do I make it look like a bevel so it looks like a real matt? Not being able to see what you want, you mentioned a black line so... why don't you use an outer border of .01 with a black color? For example, let's say your existing white border is 1/4 inch. Keep your inner border set to .25 with a color of white and your outer border to .01 with a color of black. That way you'll get a thin black line around the whole thing. If you want to get more complicated than that and do something like a frame, you could add a cutout in the image editor. Mike |
