Qimage doesn't recognize printers in such a way: that is deferred to Windows. Like Photoshop, Lightroom, Affinity, and all other Windows software that is not RIP based, it relies on the Windows printer driver. So if you install a Windows driver for the printer, Qimage will automatically see it (through Windows). If there is no Windows driver available, you cannot use Qimage to print to that printer.

I have a dtf printer that I connect to directly using the network (Cable from printer to my computer). How do I get Qimage to recognize the printer. The software that came with it is Maintop and Honsonsoft printxp. Thanks in advance

Awesome!!! Disabling the Driver AI and resetting the driver to defaults worked perfectly!! Thank you for the help!
I tend to keep using old gear so long as it still works, and this R1800 still produces fantastic prints, but you are correct the driver for this thing is old! I will eventually, move on to a new printer, I assume I can re-enable the Driver AI functions once I do? Thank you, Stephen |

There's no difference between how the unclog jobs print and how your normal images print other than the unclog job maybe being a smaller spool size. That tells me you might be having trouble with the old outdated driver. Click the AI Copilot button on the top of the main UI, turn off all Driver AI options, and then open the driver settings by holding the Shift key while clicking on the "Properties" button to open the driver. Make settings in the driver and try a print. Don't try to open old jobs or saved printer setups as those could have incompatible settings.
You can also try enabling print preview in the driver and see if the Epson preview shows what you expect (but it doesn't print). If that's the case, the driver is the issue. Regards, Mike |

Hello,
I still run my old Epson R1800. When I finally moved to Windows 10 I ran into an issue with Qimage where it would not print any images. The images would be processed by Qimage and they appeared to be sent to to the printer. The print driver would pop-up and show progress, then immediately skip to 100% and close. The printer did appear to be receiving data but when the progress jumped to 100% and the print driver closed the printer went back to idle. When this happened a couple years ago, I remember finding a solution and it worked. However, I am now back to the same issue on a fresh load of Windows 11, and I cannot find the original instructions. I did try the steps from Mike's response to this posting: https://ddisoftware.com/tech/qimage-ultimate/problem-print-to-epson-p900/ But that didn't work. Current PC is an Intel Core i9-14900K, 64 GB DDR5-6400, All nvme storage on an Asus Z790-E WiFi, Gigabyte RTX 3070 running Windows 11 Pro Previous PC also does the same thing and is an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 64GB DDR4-3600, All nvme storage on a Gigabyte X590S Aorus Master, Sapphire RX 6700XT running Windows 11 Pro Both computers do the same thing. However, the unclog jobs work perfectly. The issue was originally experienced on an old Ryzen 9 3950x, 64 GB DDR4-3200, Sapphire RX 5700XT, all nvme storage and running Windows 10 Pro. That system is long gone and with my notes on how I fixed. Any help would appreciated. Thank you, Stephen EDIT: Forgot to mention I can print directly from Affinity Photo and Capture One without issue. But I prefer the quality of print, color accuracy, and overall controls I get with Qimage Ultimate. |

I have done a triptych and I see the 3 images but since my printer is only 24 inches wide how do I separate each image to resize and make each wide like 18" so I would have 3 images on the wall each being 18" wide?
Thanks |

I can't really diagnose image-specific issues remotely so if you want to put the image (or a few images) in question on Google Drive or something and give a link, I can take a look and see if I can repeat the problem.

That file is not one of the larger ones, but I still get an error message.
These are saved as Tiff, 16 bit, no compression. The files are flattened, no layers saved. I have working files with layers, but saved to a different folder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again, Mike gary |
